This is for the Starbucks in Terminal 1 baggage claim. HORRIBLE barista. Normally, I don’t mind when baristas chat up customers and friends. But when they actually stop what they’re working on and stand there to chat with an unfinished order in hand, it’s problematic. The family before me were waiting on a Frappuccino for their daughter and the barista was taking forever chatting with an airport worker, empty cup in hand and waving the other in conversation. Finally, all three family members, who were standing off to the side before, moved closer to the pickup counter and stared at him intently as if willing him to pick up the pace. When done, he just put the cup on the counter and didn’t even look at the girl who picked it up. When it was my turn, same thing. I’m waiting and waiting, watching him chat with his friend while he seems to absentmindedly make my drink, stopping every now and then to react and interject. And I watch him finally add syrup, distractedly pumping. “Oh, that’s gonna be sweet,” I thought. (It was.) He waits for the espresso machine and then finally adds the shot to the shaker. He picks up the shaker top and moseys to the sink, stands there a beat and gives it a quick rinse, all while never breaking eye contact with the person he’s talking to. He gives my drink a lazy shake, pours it into a cup, puts the cover on, places it on the counter and says my name under his breath, as if he’s talking to himself. Good thing I was standing right there! He never looked up at me either. I felt invisible. But wow. Never had a Starbucks experience like that before and I have a rewards card and always go to Starbucks when I travel. I feel bad for people who are actually in a hurry at...
Read moreVery disappointed with my experience. I wanted a sandwich that wasn’t in the display box and the cashier responded to me with an attitude and raised her voice at me saying “you need to get one from the box”. I thought it was a little rude but I brushed it off because maybe she had a rough day. I proceeded to select a sandwich and brownie from the box. The cashier went searching for my sandwich for about 5 mins and couldn’t find it and even went to the back. She comes back up to the front and removes her mask and quietly says “so actually we don’t have that sandwich” and gave me other options, none of which I could eat. I was frustrated at this point between her giving me attitude then not having the sandwich skin asked for a refund. The refund was wrong. They charged me for the sandwich and not the brownie (keep in mind I never received the sandwich because they were out). My bank statement shows I was charged again for the sandwich but my receipt says I was only charged for the brownie. Make it make sense. I’ve called the location quite a few times to speak with a manager but no one answers!! I have photo copies of receipts and will attach them. This is ridiculous and the brownie was not hot like I asked for!
It also took forever to order & receive my food!! This is maybe my 3rd experience at Starbucks and safe to say I do not think I...
Read moreHorrible customer service. I would rather talk to a robot than the rude associates. Ordered a venti soy decaf latte and a coffee cake. Woman called our for my pastry order of the coffee cake, but when I looked it was a scone. Showed it to the woman and she opened it rolling her eyes (asian woman). Have Ordered this in this way for years. Since my last trip and using this same Starbucks and they gave me milk and I'm allergic to milk. No apology the first time a month ago and this time the Asian woman who made the drink got upset when I confirmed the soy. Then she loudly said, "Then you need to pay for the soy!" I walked over to the register and the woman argued with me, "You did not say soy!" I said yes I did and she continued to argue until I reminded her that I was the customer and she isn't supposed to argue. She charged me the .98 cents and continued her sassy face. Reesha is her name. She needs some coaching. In fact - they all should be coached. Nasty! But there are no other choices so that's probably why...
