I needed to order a cake for my boss' birthday party. However, we were celebrating in Las Vegas all the way across the country from where I live in the east!
They not only took my order on the phone but they also delivered on one of the days they were closed! They have phenomenal customer service as well as prices that are just right. Probably one of the few places I can say that it was worth every single copper penny.
As for the cake there are simply no words to describe. I needed an elegant cake for a cocktail hour and they definitely provided. It had a chocolate like glaze on top with chocolate garnishes. It had a beautiful arrangement and they had written out "Happy Birthday" in a white frosting. It was very elegant!
As for taste, the cake lasted about 2 seconds before the smell got to the group and was gone shortly after. There was roughly 2 pieces left as it was so filling no one could eat anymore. The cake was very moist and delicious and tasted fresh. There was no refrigerated taste like in groceries so I know it was made fresh and from better ingredients. Inside there were two types of chocolate mousses that were phenomenal. The whole thing was moist without being sticky is the best way to describe and it wasn't overly sweet. I'm still receiving compliments on cake choice days later and states away.
Lastly, I ordered cookies because the pictures on the website got to me. They were just as good as the cake! Don't let the picture fool you they're very large and offer a lot of flavor. You can taste the brown sugar and while there's a lot of chocolate its not overpowering. I'd like to pretend we didn't eat the cookies right after the cake but that...
Read moreApparently Carrie can't count. She finally returned my call regarding a cake for my daughters 21st birthday I tried to finalize an order for. I have been calling and leaving messages for a call back to pay for the order, and leaving message after message since July 24. She says she never got those messages. I had finally sent another email advising I was trying to pay for the order and nobody was returning my call. No response to my email. Finally on 8/3/21 I spoke to someone in person and she said she could not process the order, but would give Carrie the message. Instead of returning my call she sends me an email saying it was too late to place an order for 8/21/21. I tried to explain I had called and left messages several times and could send the screenshots. She said it was not her fault that she didn't get the messages. I said it wasn't my fault either. It was only a day or two short of a three week notice. She said no, 3 weeks out would be August 30. Are you crazy lady? It's currently August 4. I have been calling since July 24th. Horrible business experience, I was not able to count on them for our special celebration. Thankfully I was able to place an order and pay for it right away with another company who also offered enhancements to my order and delivery....
Read moreI got off the plane at the Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris last year, just for a short layover. I had one goal: Buy a croissant in France (even if it was just an airport, I figured the French were proud enough to have a halfway decent croissant anywhere in their country), and then I planned on comparing it to Sugar Bee's croissant. The answer was SO clear upon the first bite.
All I wanted - in Paris - was to come back home to Vegas for a Sugar Bee's croissant instead. They are The Best.
We've been going here for years now, a fabulous weekend morning tradition and buy everything; Breads, macarons, garlic knots, cake, brownies, cookies. All perfection!
Cons: Not being open every day of the week, and that we have to work out more to counteract how awesome...
