Walked in the door on a Thursday evening with a larger group and the customers in the bar all began yelling and laughing about how we would all "be wanting mixed drinks" (I guess because of the way we were casually dressed?) when in reality, we we're really there to have some beers and a good time. Then someone in my group was asked to leave the bar since her driver's license was expired (couldn't get it replace due to COVID) and she couldn't prove that she was 21, even though her license clearly stated that she was in her 30s. The crowd was extremely unwelcoming, which was unfortunate because we we're all looking forward to hanging with the locals on our first night in town to learn about the area. We will pass right on...
Read moreThis is a small town bars been around for a long time and I tell you what Huey Burr is one fantastic gentleman..... this place reminds me of the old Mayberry type setting...... or you can say cheers where everybody knows everybody...... plenty of room to park your Harley-Davidson...... put it right on the sidewalk next to the front door and nobody will bother it...... go in and tell Huey I'm here to have a drink on Steve....... and then ask him to play you a tune...... he'll get up there on the stage and pick and grin...
