Small, no frills, family owned Mexican/Guatamalan/Salvadorian restaurant, place has been around for 4 yrs but for some reason i didnt discover it til yesterday (i dont think they have a sign) so decided to try it for dinner tonight. Got 2 orders of birria tacos, the consumƩ is perfect, you get 3 fat tacos stuffed with shredded beef soaked in delicious juices and lots of cheese. I will say they were a little messy but all 3 held up the whole way thru, even when dipping. Also got 1 bean & cheese and 1 pork papusa, the owner was nice enough to let me try two kinds by ordering one each, usually an order comes with 3 i believe. The corn dough is home made and the filling inside was exactly what youd expect from a really good papusa, perfectly seasoned pork, slightly salty cheese & refried beans. I took the liberty of dipping it in the consumƩ, thats the move for sure. Lastly, i got a sope de pastor, normally i get chicken but tried the pork and it was the right choice. The sope wasnt overly greasy like they sometimes can be and was loaded with el pastor, sour cream, cojita cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and cilantro. Smeared some of the spicy green sauce they gave me and let me tell you what, i think we just found our new go to spot for Latin/Hispanic food. Dont sleep on this place, great people, great service,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI called to place an order for pick up yesterday March 19th. Woman on the phone sounded rude. I assume she was just busy. We got there to pick up the food and she was more rude. However, I got pupusas through UberEats before and we wanted to try something different since pupusas are soooo good. I ask on the phone for their green mangos cause I saw the instagram stories, but when I got home they werenāt even pealed or preparados like the ones on their storiesš thatās the whole point of getting mangos verdes. I got a fried chicken plate, for some reason chicken was kinda sweet , I donāt know what seasoning they used, never tasted something like that. Nachos were meh. Ceviche was good but sooo small for the price. The yuca and chicharrón was okay, they put all the toppings in it and it gets soggy, they told me on the phone to arrive on 30 minutes. I did and the food was cold already. The only reason Iāll go back there is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time eating at a Salvadoran, Guatemalan, Mexican restaurant and it definitely wonāt be the last. The food was made to order and exceeded out expectations, it was really fresh and made with love. We shared plates of shrimp & sausage tacos, steak burrito, tamale (deep fried cornbread w/edible wrapper) papusa with cheese & delicious made in-house fruit drinks. passion fruit and tamarin were absolutely amazing and a must try! We were the only ones being served which is our favorite way, when it happens. Although they were busy with takeout orders the chef(mom) came out to meet and talk to us about the culture and food. Overall we could not have been any happier and we look forward to a...
