Sixes & Sevens — Restaurant in New Bedford

Wanted to try this place for a while. Ordered (takeout) two of their burgers, chili cheese fries, and the onion dip. The chili cheese fries barely had cheese on them and the chili was bland and seemed to come from a can. Although the portion of fries was great, the topping that came with it was minuscule. I’d have been a lot happier if there was at least a good amount of cheese. After about 1/4 of the fries, the “chili and cheese” was gone. I really don’t know what to say about the onion dip. It looked like someone scooped dry tunafish into a cup, threw two onions rings on it, and sprinkled everything bagel seasoning on top. The house made chips that came with it were good but that dip was awful. Threw it out after we each took one bite in the hope it tasted better than it looked. Both of the burgers were charred. Went here for the first time tonight and was not dissapointed! The food options are so unique that everyone can get something they will enjoy. I got the No Cap burger and it was THE BEST burger I've ever had (granted I'm a sucker for cheese). Alixx was a great server! Very attentive and made sure we were satisfied with everything. Very impressed with how fast she had everything coming out since the place was pretty full but she did amazing! The place is small but in a home, rustic way and they have plenty of tvs. The noise is definitely a bar vibe, lots of different conversations happening at once but I sometimes prefer a nice bar atmosphere where you don't have to worry about volume. First time there for a quick bit the eat and it was fantastic. The chowder was so good, one of the best I have had in a long time and I am picky when it comes to chowder. Also had the weird flex tenders, a spicier version of the buffalo, terrific and real chicken tenders..not frozen, can't get better than that! My husband had the pit bull hot dog and was also great.
