Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in New Braunfels

My wife and I just had dinner at the new Braunfels restaurant. Omg. It was the worst evening ever. We arrived around 6:15 pm. No hostess anywhere. Finally about 6:30 she comes to seat us. Then we noticed it's burning up in there. The server took forever to come. Maybe 10 minutes we ordered our drinks. Took forever to get those. Then she comes and we gave her the food order. Took a long long time to get our food. We ordered the 2 for 25. Spinach artichoke dip for appetizer, she got the classic bacon cheeseburger. I got the 3 cheese chicken penne. After about 20 minutes we got the food. They forgot ranch on the side. The server brought one after we asked about it. That was not ranch. It was watery and kind of creamy color and it did not even come close to tasting like ranch. Then the buns were burnt on the outer edges and hard. Then there was no dressing on the burger. It was dry. My wife told her she didn't order that. Then there was no bacon. The artichoke dip was good but there was not much in the cup. Not worth the money. After the meal, the server asked how it was. We gave her the bad news. For one, we were sweating from the heat. Their air conditioning was broken. She was very polite and professional and apologized a lot. We didn't blame her. She did a great job but everything else was terrible she got the mgr for us. We told him everything. He said he would not charge us for tge burger meal. It was about 32.00. I asked how's that. We had the 2 for 25 so if you took off one meal then we should've paid 12.50. Plus a tea. The mgr took off the 2 for 25 and charged me for my meal plus the appetizer and drink. So really we didn't get anything taken off because we wanted the 2 for 25. We ordered the 2 for 25 so he shouodve taken off half. We are not happy at all with this place and will never never go back and will pass this on to all our family and friends. Was visiting new Braunfels thought we’d stop by at Applebee’s being that Applebee’s has always been good here in San Antonio to our disappointment. It was nothing but the worst experience. The food was the worst. Maybe people need to look at the reviews. We should’ve done that, you would not go if you saw all the bad reviews. This is the worst Applebee’s I’ve ever been to in my life and I’m 53 years old guys. I ordered the four cheese mac & cheese with the chicken honey drizzle not flood, which is what they did. There was maybe one cheese not four cheese’s so it was honey with penne noodles The most disgusting thing I’ve ever put in my mouth, though, when I asked for the manager, and I waved to two people standing over by the kitchen, which was the manager and a waiter they turned around and walked back into the kitchen to run from me Obviously, they knew the issue themselves. Then when the manager came over, I explained showing the picture on the menu versus what was in my plate nothing of which looked the same! But the worst food ever! I just CANT SAY IT ENOUGH!!! Please check out the reviews guys. This place is going down hill. I don’t know if it’s corporate, but I will find out and let corporate know. Maybe this is a tax write off. I don’t know? TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. our server Michelle was very rude. we had a misunderstanding about our food orders after waiting an hour to get them and she was very hostile towards us and ignored our table after the error. i asked to speak with a manager about the service and the food, and she walked up and stood next to him while we were talking to him which of course made us uncomfortable and we didnt feel like we could speak freely about how we were treated. the food wasnt even anything special the chicken made me nauseous(turns out they use old oil to fry anything fried so everything fried-chips, fried chicken, fries etc.- was GROSS.)but we were obviously worried to say anything more because we didnt want to "anger her" any more. when we spoke to the manager he didnt act like he cared at all and after the manager left, our server came back and gave us even more attitude for complaining to the manager and called us crazy for going to her manager instead of telling her that her service was bad. we also noticed her running straight to her coworkers and very clearly talking badly about our table. unacceptable. we felt very uncomfortable and wanted to leave way earlier but she wasted so much time talking shit and goofing off instead of tending to her table simply because she was annoyed about a miscommunication. the level of unprofessionalism was astounding. we will not be...
