Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in New Braunfels

Well, well , well where to begin I have always loved this chicken . Good chicken at good prices can't beat that , right? Though it hasn't been a pleasure to go by there for a long time .Since last summer when they were Not opening lobby and had every customer go through drive thru every day and night. I hated this the long wait and then for them to tell you they ran out of white meat or we that they didn't have any chicken and there would be a 15 minute wait. Well so I hadn't gone by to visit in a good while. So I figured I'd go since they rebuilt and I thought maybe got better management to run the place accordingly. Well , wrong, wrong , wrong I ordered the 12 piece dinner w/3 sides and wanted to make it mixed for $6.00 more and I couldn't get the mix because they Did Not have any white meat . Plus I still was told there would be a 14 minute wait for the dark meat. OMG, nothing had changed. Well I had no choice but to wait because I was backed up by a few cars. I had let the manager know that this seemed to be going on ALOT . I'm not sure who they need to fire but they need to fix...

This location needs to just give up honestly. Came today 8/19/22. 4:30pm. Was told to pull to the front. It’s seem like the lady at the drive thru was the manager. (She was dressed differently) when i waited out front, I noticed a another women well dressed. She looked like she might have been the operations manager. So all of the food was well temp! Very hot! That was perfect, however what’s happened to the chicken? There was zero flavor!! Just crispy. Oh and the employees?? Forget about it, a lady bought out the food. I asked if they had ranch and any hot sauce. Buffalo anything like that. She turned around and walked away: i said hello! She kept walking, few moments later she came with ranch. I said sooo no type of hot sauce? She said nope. I said okay, we’ll is everything in the bags? (They always always forget things at this location) she said idk they just handed me the bag and walked away again. ZERO and i mean ZERO customer service. Just had the best experience at the New Braunfels Church’s. I have never had it before and I will say it was delicious! Hot and fresh and well cooked! But even more so, the customer service was incredible. We were waited on by Roger, and what a blessing and asset he is to this team. They were waiting on a batch of chicken to finish, so he gave us free drinks to wait! And then, because there was another slight delay on one of the sides, he actually gave us some extra chicken, biscuits, and corn. We had had no problem waiting, and in fact had gone quite close to closing time, and he didn’t have to go above and beyond as he did, but he did and we really appreciate it.
