Two stars for quality of food but the speed of service here is awful. I’ve been going to Panera for years in different cities in Texas and I’ve never waited so long, even during the lunch rush. Today, my boyfriend and I visited this location and went inside (because most of my previous lengthy experiences have been in the drive thru where once you’re in, you literally cannot get out and could be sitting there for 45 mins on a 1 hr lunch break lol) anyways, we walked in and ordered on their self serve tablets. There were multiple signs around the tablets that instructed us to pick up our drinks at the counter. Immediately upon approaching the counter (as instructed) the girl that was standing there seemed so upset that we would even dare to approach her… she just looked at us, said nothing and we politely explained that we just needed the drinks. The first words she ever said were “medium or large???” But the look on her face was completely disgusted, again. We didn’t know what size we had ordered but we just said medium because I think we were both willing to forfeit further interactions with her. After we went to the drink station, I realized the drink I ordered wasn’t at the self serve area so I went back to the counter and someone was ordering at the counter so I got in line behind them. She IMMEDIATELY started to scowl at me like “ugh what NOW?!” And I just looked down at the ground. When I got up to the counter I anxiously said “hey, by chance are you guys out of the basil strawberry lemonade?” And she said “the what?!” And I repeated myself and she looked at me like I was the stupidest human being on the planet, squinted her eyes and said “we will make that for you”… I thanked her and walked away but felt completely mortified for just asking a question. I feel the details in this review are important for management to determine who should and should not be the face of the business. Because of this, I will not be returning. Chicken salad chick is down the street and they treat their customers with respect if you need an...
Read moreI ordered 13 bagels for a work birthday celebration. I ordered them last night for pick up at 7:25AM this morning. When I arrived around 7:20AM, my 2 carafes of coffee were ready but the 13 bagels were not. When I saw that the screen said my entire order was ready but nothing came out, I went up to the counter to ask. They very non-chalantly said my bagels were not ready nor would they be for a "very long time because the baker hasn't made them yet." The associate asked me if I'd like a refund and I said, no, I would like something for my colleagues to eat. So, I asked for an exchange of pasteries. She did that and then said my order was ready. I then had to ask if I could have cream and sugar for the coffee. When I got to work, I found they gave me cream cheese, 7 pasteries, and no creamer. I will never go to Panera again. Ever. I also will be calling back today to speak with the general manager to get a full refund. What is bewildering to me is this: if you know something has been done poorly in service and you're an associate - make it overly right by the customer. Because you have to know I'm going to complain. You definitely want me to say, it sucked but the associates were awesome. The associates were not awesome in this scenario from the non-chalant attitude about their lack of baked goods (it is called Panera Bread for a reason) to the lack of "making it right" by the customer. Additionally, it was obviously a bulk order - I'm going to tell my colleagues this story. Bad customer service has a massive ripple effect in a digital and social age. I recommend you train your associates in this situation and encourage them to get management involved when there is a slip...
Read moreWent to Panera for the first time. Ordered sandwich, cup of soup, coffee. Husband ordered sandwich, bowl of soup, lemonade and 2 pasties. The prices on kiosk were not the same as on the menu board. She brought our food. We had to ask for our drinks. I asked for half and half in my coffee. Got our drinks. I confirmed half and half and she said it's in there. Opened the cup and it was not. Then, she seemed genuinely perplexed when I requested salt and pepper and splenda. She said THEY DONT HAVE ANY. SO IN THE WHOLE RESTAURANT THERE IS NO SALT OR PEPPER OR SPLENDA? Husband got a cup of soup, I mentioned that he ordered a bowl. She said THERE THE SAME. So I literally had to explain the difference in a cup and bowl and the price difference. And I really dont think she still understood. Mentioned we didn't have the two pastries. Manager or someone comes and and hands us another cup of soup and they only have one pastry which was some cookies. And that is not a pastry. Much less two. Still no half and half, finally found it. Food was good, but the most confusing circumstances. Told the husband its like we're in an episode of Seinfeld. Table across the room got their food and the woman yells This is the WRONG bread and there is NO mozzarella! I wont...
