I was at this store on 8/2/2016 I placed my order at 2:23AM and I hope everyone there that night gets fired starting with who ever the manager was that night because they obviously do not care at all. At the very least written up and drug tested I would put money on the fact that would take care of the majority of the people working that night. I'll start off by saying there were 3 cars in front of me and I left that drive through at 3:00 (Almost 40 min later) I was greeted with "Whats your order" and sounded as if I was bothering her for pulling up and it sounded like I had interupted her nap, in a very rude tone and after everything I said she repeated it to verify I ordered, it was not confused what was said -large Whataburger with chese and bacon the female taking the order snapped back and said "that's a number 5" as if I was stupid for not knowing the menu I apologized and said i would didn't see that tried to laugh it off. W/Dr pepper She repplies before I even finish the word "what else do you want? -second I order a Whataburger Jr with grilled jalapenos Again she replies "what else do you want" I told her that's it for that order and again before I could finish speaking she says pull up if she would not have cut me off after the word nothing and stated talking over me she would have known I had a second order (a friend in the car) she even more annoyed asked "what is it?!" it was one meal no changes with a coke. I Never got upset or rude my friend and I laugh IT off because being At work (not proffesinal at all so I really do hope you read this and not only evaluate your work eithic but just basic custody to strangers (IT GETS EVEN BETTER!) After the person took my order 30 min later I get to the window to meet the young red eyed teen who seemed very confused won't make eye contact and just seems generally disorantated but at least he was not rude. He order me my friends order and a waters down drink that had most likely been sitting since we ordered 40 min previous. I ask him about my order witch was be for hers still not rude and kind of just laughing at this point because it was so rediulos he comes back with one jr burger I then tell him I also had a #5 and a few min later he stumbles back with a bag shuts the window without even asking if that's it I get his attention he opens up still polite and amazed I ask if I can have condiments. He says nothing and gives me what I ask for closes the window again at this point I just drive home (7 min away) my friend eats her cold fries and burger who knows how long it was sitting around as soon as we leave. I get home and realize that my husbands large WHATABURGER With bacon (number 5 as I was so rudly told was cold but he ate it I'm not sure if the bun is toasted for the sandwich and SMALL stale cold fries even though the girl who took the order repeted everything back to me as I said it LARGE #5 With a coke I realize that my small cold number 5 didn't get a drink. EVEN more frustrated now realizing how bad of service that we had got I open my burger BEST PART YET I go to lift the bun to look for the jalopinos that were not on my cold burger as soon as I tough it it was like goo. (if you have ever touched bread after it had soaked in water that is what I have to assume happed) I'm not talking about moist from sitting with vegies and condiments either no amount of condiments or wet veggies would cause this it had to have set in liquid. I was songrossed out I have never had anything come from a resterant like this at all ever it was so gross just wondering what my burger sat in for 45 min before they wraped it up and have not to me. I'm willing to bet all of the 4 cars food was made shortly after the order was made and 40 min after that they collected them up and handed what ever to who ever. After all of this I look at the recept to see what was on it and she must have punched it in when she got up from her nap because it was nothing I said. This was the worst interation with any business (not just resterant) have ever...
Read moreTLDR: I wait around for an hour for them to make me food twice only to be punished by the cook.
I have been to a few Whataburgers since moving to Texas and out of those 5 visits, 3 of them were awful experiences. This the nail in the coffin for me, I don't think I'll come back to the chain as a whole anymore. The good , sometimes, is not worth the risk of whatever is happening behind those counters.
This has been my experience before but not to these lengths. Made online order and pulled into the carryout spot just down from the front door. I was way too patient but I waited 20min past my expected drop off time. Finally I went in and I was told that their online system had turned off and they didn't know. So I got my cold, wrong, food with an "oops. Sorry"
Because of what I was doing it took me a bit to realize that despite me ordering, specifically, no dairy on my burger that is what I got. I went back in and had to wait with a stranger for easily 5 minutes at the counter. We were looked at and while I understand short staffing and being overworked is a prevalent thing but anyone could have said anything. It was a noisy kitchen with no one talking. Of course they didn't notice the down system or people gathering because anyone who did see it certainly didn't make it any kind of a priority. Even the manager just wanted to get this over with and was that forceful nice you put on at work to not get in trouble. Ugh.
They made that right and made everything fresh. Which is great but not another 20+ minute wait that had me sitting in the awkward, cold, seating area. Where everyone just kept staring at me funny because this was my 3rd time in there and I looked like I was just hanging out there for fun. Awesome.
I finally get everything and by this point I'm reasonably annoyed but the longer this got goofed up the nicer the staff that talked to me became.
I sit down in my car again and despite everything being brand new and warm, it's all so salty it's inedible.
It is so disheartening to know that a majority of my few visits have been met with disorganized chaos. Totally unacceptable wait times for me and other customers at several locations at various times and lastly the spite. If that was not spite, that was a lack of quality control.
Unless the chain gets their staffing and internal policies under control where it doesn't seem like a pack of stressed and scared humans are like sardines in a kitchen regularly, I'm good. No more for me and I openly encourage others to not gamble with the more than likely...
Read moreIt was around 4 am and i am traveling 4 hours to work in Bastrop and I Went through the drive through and Ordered my usual breakfast BEC biscuit meal with coffee, sausage biscuit, and a large water. She charged me $2.99(listed as a large drink) for the water. I questioned about the charge as I have never been charged for water at any location (this was my first time at this one). Then after sitting at window waiting for food, another car pulled in behind me and she had me pull forward. I pulled forward and waited again. She finally brought my food after about a 10 min wait. Upon leaving I ate the hash browns. They were good and hot. Then I proceeded to eat the BEC biscuit and everything was warm except the egg. It was cold, like it was just though for a moment and placed on biscuit. Now the manager was contacted and is willing to make things right. But like I told him , I only pass that way every 2-4 weeks. There are a lot of choices out there and where I stop is a choice. First impressions go a long way for me. Especially when my travel ia usually earl mornings. I counted no less than 3 more locations before my exit just 10 miles down the road. Not sure, given the number of locations and other options, if going back is one of those options. If your night manager says this is policy and then serves meager food, then it's probably a reoccurring problem. I mean 2 cars in line including me and it was five minutes before second car, so I didn't see a rush to...
