Okay I am leaving my old post up after this part to show the difference in how much they have changed . I'm sorry but after this I will be using voice recognition only no punctuation apologies they have improved their service and the play place was much cleaner updated some of the items in the PlayPlace and remove broken items and the staff was considerably friendlier especially considering it is New Britain and I don't usually have very high hopes for friendliness unfortunately in this town but this time much improved manager was not rude they got my order right did not mess up my allergy issues and we did not have a problem with ordering at the counter much improved experience I am raising their review to a five-star my old review is the following
It is an average McDonald's but the play place is always cold. It is quite large and fun for the kids but needs to be cleaned. Staff also doesn't get the concept of an allergy. When I asked about not having certain things on a salad they said no problem but after I eating the salad those things were in the bottom of the bowl as scraps. This is not safe for me and I was not happy and even though contact was minimal I ended up with a headache and not feeling well. I am happy that I don't have a problem like anaphylactic shock or something and had to use EpiPen the staff needs to be trained better. I'm updating review and lowering ratings because staff still can't focus. Today I asked for NO fries in a happy meal and sub an apple slices and they refused to do it without charging for extra apples and said that fries are part of meal. I do this all the time at other McDonalds I also was disappointed in how they are caring for the new play place. Read more10/08/2015 I usually don't go out of my way to do these reviews but after 5 consecutive bad experiences here, I just had to. The Coke always has a 'funky' taste to it. Not enough syrup maybe? I had to go in and get a new one out of the fountain to make sure it wasn't just a bad batch... stayed the same. EVERY time, without fail, I ordered a LARGE size fry and they gave me regular sized, having to get out of my car and go in and ask for a large sized, defeating the purpose of convenience via drive through. The fifth time I didn't even want fries, I just had to show my wife how bad this staff was... POW... regular sized fries. Like they either are trying to save on fries and know you wont check until youre far down the road or worse case if you did check, you'll come inside and they say "Very sorry about that" and its over. Well... Im NEVER going back. Twice, I ordered quarter pounder with cheese, no onions, add Mac sauce and shredded lettuce(+.45 you know!) and I get made the mistake both times of not checking it and it was wrong... again. Also, there was one teller in particular, an attractive Hispanic girl with hairy arms who WHILE taking my order, was talking to someone else and wouldn't even look at me when she took my credit card or return it. Well done on your employees: fast, efficient and very courteous. There's a few workers at this location that are absolutely beyond superior and there are some that make you just want to.......................Pull your hair out!
Before Covid, I used to work Mornings into a split in the afternoons/evenings. In the months of Sept. through Feburary when I used to come to this location in morning's, the manager and workers in this timeframe were out of this World friendly and have excellent customer service! They will let you know when something is out of stock or they'll ask you at the window, would you mind repeating your order. Fantastic service guys.
Fast-Forward, April to today afternoons and evenings they don't ask. I ordered two fish sandwiches and only recieved one. I ask several times at the speaker and window for espresso, they don't mention that the machine is down until after I paid. Can you say customer training evening staff.
Mornings have the terrific service in my opinion and evening/afternoon staff I believe either needs more training...
