Joe's Pizza — Restaurant in New Canaan

Joe’s Pizzeria in New Canaan is about the best you can hope for - low key keeping it real but with solid quality on their menu. One of the best things about this place is the different types of pies they offer in addition to the standard NYC style pie you can get Sicilian, Grandma, and Detroit style pies, as well as different cook levels and thin or thick crust. They’re diverse enough to either feed the entire little league team or a group of adults looking for a classier / higher quality pie.

Menu items not to sleep on: roasted red pepper (this is huge for those of us that don’t like the taste of green peppers), stracciatella (👨‍🍳💋👌) and the orange ginger wings (overall their wings are substantial - not tiny/ mostly bones that you’d get from other joints, but the orange ginger flavor is especially good).

First off, it’s a family run business. Secondly, the front door has every sticker you can think of, very creative way to show who goes to this restaurant, from across the nation. The food here, is superb! I always order via Uber eats pickup, and I always get the grandma pizza. Great selection of toppings! I will say it is a bit expensive, but you get the best pizza in new Canaan! The employees there are super polite and very kind, and the wait time is not as long, and you could walk around town to wait for your food! I'd NEVER go back to this place. I did NOT feel welcomed when I was there as a first time customer! I'm brown...The Staffs appeared to be extremely unprofessional and Pizza was so hard that my family felt like they're trying to grind rocks with some elastics! The staff (bearded) who made my Pizza first walked away from me as I was going to make order (another staff took order), then he asked "what's up buddy?" carelessly from the kitchen area without even looking at me.
