BLISS: Matcha and Beyond — Restaurant in New Haven

These pictures don't even do this cafe justice! I ordered a strawberry matcha latte, mango matcha latte (not pictured), and matcha soft serve. Everything was delicious and very high quality! I could clearly taste the matcha, but it wasn't overpowering, nor tasted grassy, and it went well with the other flavors. There were lots of options on the menu and they had non-dairy choices as well.

The service was exceptional with friendly and skilled employees that knew what they were doing. The owner (I think) frequently checked in to make sure I was enjoying my drinks, even giving me a sample of the ice cream unprompted. I waited no more than 5 minutes to receive my drinks and my order was completely correct.

The cafe itself was a little small, but very cute and there was definitely space to sit and work or meet with friends. The interior was decorated very well and it felt bright and comfortable. I worked on my laptop for a few hours in there and it was very cozy. The location is a little bit easy to miss, but the sign makes it easy to find and it's a really cute area!

I’m genuinely surprised (in a good way!) that New Haven now has a spot as solid as Bliss. My favorite was the Jasmine Double Matcha Latte; really clean and smooth. The soft serve was also great, creamy with a slight matcha bitterness.
