We have been searching for a great Mexican restaurant in New Haven since we left California 20 years ago. Up until now, the food trucks along the shoreline have been the only place we could find good options. We are so excited to have discovered Taqueria Tlaxcala! Some of the best Mexican food in New Haven. I had their pastor quesadilla and my partner had the cemita(It was HUGE). The flavor is there and the salsas are spicy too! I’ve been waiting for this place to open and the wait was worth it! I had 3 tacos, 2 cabeza and 1 carne enchilada. They were so good, flavorful with juicy meat and great meat portions.
