Alta's Kitchen in The Ferry Market — Restaurant in New Hope

Glad I stopped at this new, hidden away gem.

The decor had an attention to detail and fit somewhere between an Italian and French cafe. While waiting for the owner (I think) as he prepared the panini fresh, the atmosphere and music was calming.

They had a tasty selection of paninis, soups, and salads. It wasn't easy to choose just one option, but the Cuban panini was delicious. It's worth mentioning the freshly-squeezed lemonade was clearly homemade and very reasonably priced at $2. The other two fresh juices (cucumber, celery; and carrot pineapple), also looked delicious.

While perhaps more of an upscale, made-to-order, Italian cafe vibe, the Cuban was as good or better as any I've had -- and I've had quite a few.

Lastly, it was a pleasant surprise to see homemade potato, macaroni, and a fresh side salad in my box! The panini would have been good enough value, but the attention to detail was appreciated and I will definitely be back again.

Small notes: All food appeared to be takeaway only, so keep that in mind. Also, the turnaround could be a little slow, so I would recommend ordering ahead if you're...

A lovely little shop with the most pleasant, mellow atmosphere. Light jazz music lulls you into a relaxing, cozy environment. It was the perfect place to start our day after a long night of celebrating a good friend’s wedding the previous evening. The food was fresh and delicious with generous portions. We ordered the Mozzarella Caprese Panini (no prosciutto - vegetarian), the Meatball sandwich, the potato-egg salad, and black tea with lemonade - all were so flavorful, well-seasoned, and fresh! The tomatoes on the Caprese panini were the perfect ripeness! The service was incredible - so pleasant, friendly, and accommodating! It is mind blowing to think this is a single person operation and only a few months in! Truly an amazing find. If you’re in New Hope or near by, I HIGHLY recommend stopping in to grab a bite to eat and a fresh juice!

Delicious NEW spot of made-to-order to-go food in New Hope!

Robert has made a delightful shop of fresh delicacies (with great music playing!) right in the center of New Hope on a little side street right off of Main Street.

We had the most exquisite potato and egg salad, Robert’s grandma’s recipe. It’s to die for! We also had the Polenta & Blue Cheese with Robert’s incredible tomato sauce. The brownies were amazing with Robert’s coffee too.

Our friend had the Cuban Panini & Pork bone broth soup. He loved it too!

We took the food to-go and ate outside (it was 70°f out today! March 3, 2024). There are benches near the river steps away from Alta’s or picnic tables around the corner on Main St.
