Apple Barrel Bar — Restaurant in New Orleans

I was out with my husband on Christmas Eve and lots of places were closed. We wandered in here and felt really welcomed. The bartender was incredibly friendly, the clientele was great, the bathroom door doesn't lock and some random guys guarded it for me while I was in there then when I got out a nice lady was very concerned that the guys were bothering me and she got my cup of water. The guys were not bothering me we ended up all becoming friends and hanging out each night for the next few days. My husband and I went back to the Apple Barrel last night, Dec 27th, and the same bartender was there. She is so nice! The live music was really good too and I'm really hard to please when it comes...

Small dive bar with excellent people. Under Adolfo's so you often have people waiting to go upstairs lounging at the tables.

Google Maps shows this place on the wrong block. It is across the street from d.b.a instead of the Praline Connection. It is also under Adolfo's, but Adolfo's sign is as hidden as the Barrel's sign.

Was there with my brother last weekend. Really cool spot with amazing music and atmosphere. We loved the music so much we stayed a good part of the night. The first bartender of the night was amazing! Unfortunately he left and a quite unfriendly bartender started. He got weirdly mad when I asked for a cup of water and he said it was a $4 charge, which was frustrating considering we had bought a ton of drinks throughout the night. I mean not a huge deal but there was no reason to be rude about it. Kinda killed my vibe and we left and continued the night elsewhere where they happily...
