Me and my boyfriend went last night around 10:00pm to specifically get burgers and nuggets because I’ve been badgering him about getting the burgers I wanted. He’s been going there for over 10 years and as we pull up he sees an older Caucasian man with no hair a pretty full beard kinda heavy set , and proceeds to say “omg he always has a bad vibe let’s see if he’s actually going to cook our food” I told him let’s just go and see he might do it. We walked straight in to the menu because we always get two burgers and and a 20 piece nugget. He begins to tell us he’s not cooking and continues to try explain that his other coworkers didn’t stock how they were supposed to and then stopped mid sentence to tell us “I’m just not doing it”. Him and my boyfriend kinda got into it because he told he’s done always done this (not wanting to cook food) for years and when we walked in he was sitting down with the customers watching tv and talking with only two people at the bar. So we went outside to find the name of the other locations but couldn’t remember so wwe reluctantly went back inside to ask him and he told my boyfriend “if your trying to go to another location to report me I can give you the owners number” and we just told him it wasn’t like that we just want burgers so he reluctantly made the food for eventually which I am grateful he did. But this man put the MOST seasoning on our burgers. The nuggets were almost burnt the meat was separating from the batter. I truly thought my burger was beyond spicy because I decided to use the spicy mustard but no it was mountains of seasoning on our burger and I couldn’t even finish my burger nor my boyfriend and he ALWAYSSS finishes hints the 30pc nugget we decided to get that was burnt. Also we watched him make everything with no gloves which wouldn’t have been a problem if he wasn’t trying to put them on last minute when he sees we were looking at him make our food to insure that he wasn’t going mess over our food and he didn’t he just put soooo much seasoning to where it was no longer edible and my stomach is beyond messed up right now and I have Eczma so if I put anything my body that’s too much I will begin to break out and I have with hives around my neck from how much salt and seasoning he put on those burgers. There was literally CLUMPS OF SEASONING. Also the two drinks we ordered weren’t the best at all but that’s depends on each person so not to worried about it. But worse experience I’ve had there and I’ve PLENTY of fantastic experiences before. But that man made the atmosphere and food a bad experience. Very bad energy hope this reaches him and his attitude can...
Read moreAwful! The bartender was super mean! My mom and I was walking around outside in the French Quarters and when we were done we got thirsty. This bar was the closet place to us at the time that had water. All we wanted was water. I'm 19 and I've sat at many bars before without drinking any alcohol. I'm not even planning on drinking. The bartender wanted to see my ID and my mom said all we want is water nothing else. The bartender started raising her voice at my mom saying I can't be in there. A customer kindly tried to explain what the bartender was screaming at us because she was so loud that we couldn't understand her. Then the bartender continued to scream at us until we started walking away. My mom saw something that another customer had that she's been looking for and just asked her where can she find it at and the customer told her but luckily she said it fast enough before the bartender started screaming at my mom saying no ma'am over and over again. Then we left to get something to drink but as we were walking out the door the bartender started talking really badly about us to the customer my mom was just talking to. Honestly this was one of the most rudest people I've ever met. Instead of saying I couldn't be in there because of the type of bar it is in a calmly way she screamed at us. There weren't many people in there and the ones that were in there were all white. I'm not a racist person at all. I believe all people should be treated equally but it was just weird that she had to be that rude to us. I don't know if it was because we're black or what. She was...
Read moreDon’t bother if you’re not a local. Spent a great Friday night here but then came back on Saturday only to be belittled and kicked out by the male manager because I have an international ID. I’m on holiday from Australia but I’ve been in the country for a month and had never had an issue with this before, especially because I’m almost 30. The other bar staff snuck outside and apologized for him being cranky and others bars in the area were pretty confused by his behavior when I passed on the story but did express they weren’t suprised as he has a pretty poor reputation. I manage an internationally renowned rock and roll bar and I understand wanting to keep the venue authentic and that tourists can be annoying sometimes but it’s not like we were drunk frat boys who’d just been kicked out of Bourbon Street, we just wanted to have a beer and a game of pool after record shopping. Absolutely...
