Only like 5 sugar free flavors which taste nothing like most sugar free coffee syrups. It's like the difference of coke vs. Diet coke. You can taste the sucralose. Also, besides my mom and i's 1 order, we waited at least 10 minutes for our drinks. We ran into our neighbor, who was sitting at a table to the right of where we were waiting and he stood up to talk to us. The conversation went on about 5 minutes, and even though he was standing right next to his table but in front of it, his entire breakfast order and coffee was thrown away. When we saw him approach the staff, we heard him say "is this it? Is this it?" ...was he pointing in the trash? THEY DIDNT EVEN OFFER TO REPLACE ANY OF IT!!! I was in shock! The whole experience was ridiculous. Our order was taken by someone who obviously either hated his job, or us...and we are all locals in the quarter. I dont like putting up bad reviews but this entire visit was horrible. I could of made myself waaaaay better coffee at home ntm half of our 4 danishes were burnt. I mean you couldn't be a little nicer to someone who spends over 30$ in your establishment and lives around the corner? A total shame for a local independent...
Read moreAs a local I hold high expectations for anyone claiming to serve any traditional New Orleans cuisine but I’ve got to say envie hits the nail on the head. The creole country understood the assignment to start the boudin taste as it’s supposed to from texture to kick like the biscuit strong yet soft with just the right amount of perfectly cooked over medium egg yolk the chef was on game that day for sure I recommend layin the bottom biscuit down smooth the boudin over add an egg some crystal hot sauce and chomp down but be shore to aim that perfectly cooked egg yolk over some sugar downed grits(I added the sugar) Because that’s gunna bring it all together as a true traditional way to enjoy a worthy to be called creole breakfast I have to add the coffee is bomb af but if your asking about the frappes you should know they are most definitely addictive with more flavors then you can drink in a day without risking cardiac arrest. But it’s the accuracy of the flavor coupled with the robust coffee aftertaste without that bitter kick that is honestly impressive I...
Read moreMy first time in New Orleans. I struggled to find any vegan places open as it was Thanksgiving. Ran into this little spot to grab a bite. I was told the bagels were vegan so ordered the avo on toasted bagel. The check out person was rather unhelpful and sassing me while I asked basic questions and then had the audacity to show me the tip option on the screen. For what? A very below basic counter service, with a dash of rudeness. I then found myself a seat at the bar directly in front of them and they proceeded to shout my coffee order out across the room while staring at me lol
The best thing about this place were the chefs who I observed doing more work than the checkout person as they prepared the food and then brought out the food to people seated. They deserve the tips. The servers behind the till can't even be bothered to crack a smile or have any common decency of politeness or customer service.
Well done to the chefs! The avo was seasoned very nicely! Probably wouldn't recommend this place or return unless other places were closed and I...
