Our visit was 20 April 2023 during the last night of a business trip. We had passed the location a couple of times during the week but wanted to sit and enjoy the music & some eats. I had the Red Beans and Rice and brought Beignets to go, my co-worker had beignets and we both had ice coffee from the Café Kitchen but both brought a drink from bar in same location. A frozen drink and small glass of red wine were our drinks. We were there to catch the end of one trio and the beginning of another trio (Steamboat Willie) on the Café Beignet stage. The atmosphere was great and we enjoyed our food. The staff we got our food and drinks from was very professional and pleasant. There was a gentleman cleaning off tables and picking up items that blew on the ground keeping things clean and tidy. The cute little birds are comfortable around people. If back in this area again, I would defiantly stop back.

Pretty busy for in-between breakfast and lunch. They offer all meal options when open which is nice. The shrimp po-boy was plentiful but shrimp lacked flavor and was basic fried shrimp on a very good French baguette. The dressed aspects of a traditional sandwich was lacking. Needed some good remilad sauce and seasoning. The crawfish omelet was not bad. Again a dish that needed some kick and not worry about the tourists that can't handle spice. The grits were good but the tiny piece of French bread toast was pathetic. Overall not a horrible experience but would be great if they kicked the meal size up and added more flavor. For items that were both $12.00 each not the best value. Step up the game and money would flow more.

We visited the Beignet Cafe on Bourbon street. We ordered the beignets, a muffuletta sandwich, and an alligator bite drink. The sandwich was absolutely to die for! The olive salad they put on it was delicious and went really well with the meats and cheeses all toasted on a sesame Italian bun. The Beignets were good. They kind of reminded me of a funnel cake in some ways. But softer and fluffier. They also had a live jazz band there playing. They sounded really well and added to the ambience and atmosphere making it an ideal spot to sit and enjoy a taste of Bourbon Street.❤👌

This could be a nice hidden gem on Bourbon Street if it weren't for the attitude. I went to the bar to buy a drink. I asked if they could make a rum runner. The bartender didn't look at me, he said "nope", and just pointed to the posted drink sign displayed and said "here are our drinks." He had an irritated look on his face and gave me the attitude along with it as he walked away and turned his back. I then asked another question about the music playing and got more attitude. I thought maybe it was just me. But as I was standing there, another gentleman stepped up and said he'd have another drink. The bartender didn't look at him, said "what do you want?" The gentleman said in a playful way, "I was just up here, do you remember what I had?" The bartender responded, "buddy, I serve hundreds of people a day, i don't know what you ordered." And he served up as much attitude to him as he offered me. Mind you, there were literally 15 total people in the joint when I was there. And approximately only 6 of them had bar drinks. So, this gentleman was one of only a few others drinking there at the time. There's absolutely no reason to respond to this guy as he did. And there's no reason to have treated me with such attitude as well. I have a suggestion to the bartender, if you are this unhappy with your job get some backbone and find a new job. One that makes you happy and not miserable. My suggestion to the owner, this could be an amazing business if your employees weren't chasing the customers away. Hire those with great attitude, fire those with bad attitude. My suggestion to those wanting to vist this place, move on. Don't waste...

This is usually an excellent venue, however we had a very unpleasant exchange with a member of staff. The bartender working at 6.30 PM, 23 August was extremely rude when refusing to serve us drinks. At first, the bartender asked for identification, which we were more than happy to provide since we are 25 years old. He then refused to accept our British Driving Licenses (we are in New Orleans on vacation from the UK) and confrontationally demanded that we provide passports. As we attempted to explain to the individual that we had not been carrying our passports, but could provide other identification including military ID and health insurance cards, the bartender ignored us and went to serve others. It may be that requiring passports is the policy of the venue, however on previous nights there was no issue with our driving licenses. Additionally, it would be very unusual for international travellers to carry passports when going out for dinner. We would not write a review on this matter, however we had such an enjoyable experience only a few days prior, and were very eager to support the talented musicians that we had witnessed. It was disappointing to be turned away when we were happy to provide identification. It was also the first time we had experienced anything like this in New Orleans, or anywhere for...

I would not recommend this place given the many options nearby. We ordered shots for 6 people, were happy with the price and enjoyed. We then sent a different set of members from our party to buy another round, this time for 8, and realized when they returned that the next bartender had increased the price by 50% a shot. When we sent folks to the bar to clarify the drastic price increase, the bartender refused to honor the earlier price and made a series of excuses related to the earlier bartender being untrained or having made a mistake. They then moved on to arguing that we hadn’t tipped enough for our last round of shots. (Generally I think if you’re getting $5 to $10 in tips for one round of shots, where you’re not having to mix anything or move around the bar, it’s a fair deal for bartending, coming from New York.) I think we straight up just got ripped off and they didn’t think that we would notice the major price increase between rounds. The guy we spoke to was basically openly a jerk to our party, and if you’re looking for a place to settle in, you might as well find a place that wants to deal with you in an straightforward manner and is interested in your repeat business versus grabbing a quick buck...
