We learned Germaine Wells was the Daughter of Count Arnaud and owner of the restaurant after his death. This is a collection of some of the elaborate gowns and accessories she wore. This is more a collection than a museum. It is small but we enjoyed walking through. There are also several old photographs and other memorabilia from the era. Best of all, it’s complementary admission. Just ask the host at the restaurant and they will show you the way up the stairs.

I have never been to Mardi Gras in Nola but this was fun, interesting, and a taste of the event!

Fun and informative. Trying on the costumes was the most fun.

"Museum" is a bit of a stretch. It is basically one room above a restaurant, with some dresses and costumes in glass displays and a bunch of photographs hanging on the wall. Yes it is a nice display, but it should not take you more than five minutes to complete your self-guided tour. 95% of the photos attached to this location are from a separate location called MARDI GRAD WORLD, which is down by the port and that is where you see all the floats are...

While it is small, it's free and definitely worth a stop! Dresses are stunning and interesting to see the pictures from the 1940s-60s. Lovely crowns and hat collection too. Won't take more than 10-15 minutes so definitely stop in when walking...
