Upon entering the hotel I was wowed at the flawless and overly spacious interior. I was greeted by before getting on to the elevators by the front desk attendants and advised my intended destination would be on the 9th floor. Upon reaching Rosie's i was greeted by a male server in which I advised was there for the Yelp Elite Event and that I was about 25 minutes early than my 7pm reservation set. He stated that was more than fine and stated he would go on and sit me at a table. I noticed as I was being sat there was another seever that was running around as if she was a little busy and it was obvious that she pressing to keep up. Went outside and was placed and at table and he stated either he or a server by name of Ashley would be back by to take care of me. After left which a few seconds I was greeted by Marc and we had a pleasant conversation about the amazing views offered and the hotel rooms. Afterwards I snapped a few photos and videos for reviews and I must say my expectations in terms of rooftops in downtown New Orleans had been as it had pretty descent views which was quite pleasant. After hanging around my table for about another 15 to 20 minutes 2 other tables of fellow Yelp Elite where sat at 2 tables next to me and were brought waters upon being greeted and orders placed. I then still hung around for a few additional moments and while sitting checking emails enjoying the scene a female server stop by and asked if I needed anything and I replied that I had not even been greeted nor a order taken, in which she asked was I with Yelp and of course I replied, Yes. She asked my name and then went inside and about 3 minutes I looked up and saw her casually chatting and walking around so I politely excused myself which was a almost 30 minutes after my initial arrival. Nice location, great scenery however, possibly may need some more...
Read moreDIVINE! I had such a good time! Had a few cocktails and snacks while chilling out and resting tired feet after touring the AMAZING WWII Museum! I came up at 4:30 and stayed past 8:00 to get pictures of the fabulous sunset from the outdoor terrace. The only thing that took away from an otherwise perfect experience was a bunch of noisy unattended little rug rats running around, screeching like Banshees and disrupting adulat at a place kids should not even be allowed in! It's a wine and cocktail bar, not ChuckieCheeses! Ugh! I do not understand parents who so rudely disrupt a place and time for adult who do not want such obnoxious interrupting! It really is thoughtless and rude! I do wish the wait staff had told them no minors!
I even moved from one end of the terrace to the other to get away from the bratty daycare and they followed me! It was so disrespectful! Next time: these people need to spend a few of the MANY $$$$$ they spent on a babysitter! The certainly splurged on the drinks and food so they could afford it and there were several families and generations. Someone could have babysat or afforded a...
Read moreLast time we came to the WWII Museum this hotel/restaurant being built, it does not disappoint! The view from the rooftop is beautiful and although it was a bit chilly outside, they have space heaters on the patio. Our server did great with our large party and was very attentive. Some of the foods we enjoyed the most were the steamed chicken bao buns, wings, and the crab beignets. I tried a friend's shrimp and grits and honestly they were a bit more sweet than the savory you'd expect, but they were plated beautifully! Warning their online menu is different from their actual one, I'm not sure if it is an inside vs. patio seating issue but just keep it in mind when browsing. The cocktails were also delicious. I had an espresso martini, but I tried my friend's Trade Winds and it was delicious! If you are in the warehouse district area or just finishing up with the museum, this restaurant is a wonderful and beautiful place to...
