I've never been here, so sorry if I trample some etiquette or whatever, but this was my experience at the rabbit hole. I bought some presale tickets to a show here for $20. When I arrived, our IDs were checked and then we were let in. AFTER we were let in, two people let us know there was a 10 dollar cover. Whatever. I already paid for the show so am I really just gonna leave there? I ask to pay with card, and am told there's tax on it. Sure. I get it. Electronic payments are all catalogued so it makes sense there's tax. However, I see the itemized bill as it's being brought up. It says "$11 cover". There's a separate line for the tax under it, but I was definitely charged 11 for a cover PLUS tax after that. I ask the workers if there's a mistake, and they say it's the tax. I point out that the tax is below that, and then they say something along the lines of "you're acting like we want to rob you, I don't get any money out of this." The place to insert my card is then pulled away from me as I am removing my card from it to pay, and am told "You don't have to pay for it if you don't want". As I already paid, I point it out and I am offered a refund. At this point, I just want this to be over and I enter the courtyard, down $44 dollars for a show I thought would only be $20. As I enter, I hear them yell "douche" over and over at me. This sort of soured the night for me and we left soon after that. If you're a regular here then I'm sure you enjoy it, but it is not for new people and it is definitely not a welcoming environment. The food smelled good at least.

Update: Yeah, it happened again. Happy Mardi Gras! Honestly can't say much about this place. I've been 3 times I believe, and only after the box of wine parade, so my recollection of things is sketch at best. As I said this has been the end location for the box of wine crew after we walk during Mardi Gras, so props to them for hosting us. They break out the port o potties and have the outside bars and food stall going. They have a large courtyard with a stage and a nice garden that doesn't really seem to fit the location, but I'm all for it. Inside stage and bar are on the smaller side, but goes with their head splitting EDM bands. Staff and security are pleasant, and again very accommodating to a bunch of wine drunk Mardi Gras revellers.

What a blast! The courtyard at The Rabbit Hole is absolutely fabulous, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for a great time. The overall ambiance flows seamlessly, making it an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy. The dance floor is where the real fun begins. The sound quality is top-notch, ensuring crystal-clear music that gets everyone grooving. Even if you're not typically a dancer, this place might just change your mind – give the dance floor a shot! Oh, and let's not forget the smoke machine – it adds that extra touch of excitement to the experience. In summary, The Rabbit Hole is a solid 10/10 for a fun night out with great music, atmosphere, and dancing opportunities!"

love the vibe of the place, the outdoor patio was very cool

drinks were overpriced in my opinion

main issue: the staff. we bought presale tickets for an event happening last night and after getting our IDs checked and entering, two ladies greeting us and told us there was a $10 cover, which was fine. when the guy i was with went to pay for us, the IPad said it was $11 per person, then there was a separate line under the cover charge for extra taxes/fees (which we were fine with). We told her “oh, it looks like it’s $11,” thinking it was either a mistake on her part on the tablet, or she told us the incorrect price. We only really brought this up to her so she could let people know the correct price when entering. Instead, she tries to say that the extra dollar on the cover is for the taxes and fees
which is very clearly wasn’t. she said something along the lines of “you’re acting like we are just pocketing this money”, we weren’t upset or anything, just didn’t understand why it wasn’t the proper price that she indicated. As the guy tapped his card to pay, she went “well you don’t need to pay”, basically insinuating that we could leave instead. He replied “well i already paid so,” to which she said she could refund it if that’s what he wanted. Instantly it made us feel unwelcome, even though we weren’t being rude or anything. We tried to shrug it off and walk in, but then we heard her called him a douche to the other lady she was working with as we walked into the patio. That completely ruined our vibe for the rest of the night. I thought it was completely unacceptable and disgusting behavior from somebody who is supposed to be greeting guests here.

It wasn’t super busy either (it started at 11:30 and we got there 11:35) so it wasn’t like she had been super agitated or upset with somebody else that caused her to lash out on us.

this was our first time...
