Got home from a long work week & me and bae took an early nap.

We woke up late

Had a craving for some late night pizza (it was like 10pm or 11pm and decided to go here for a late night run

Been here before and our experience was usual great but tonight..idk

Pizza was really good only problem is that we told them specifically what we wanted and they still messed up our order.

I know people make mistakes but that doesn't make things any easier.

We told them specifically what we wanted, they was like "yah, yah we got it" but no they absolutely didn't have it

Unfortunately we didn't realize this until we made it home.

Had to drive 10-15 minutes back, find a place to park in the FQ, weave through oceans of pedestrian traffic & walk to the shop.

We called to let them know so our order would be ready upon arrival.

We brought our receipt & everything even though they have a completely recognizable box so.. Anyway.

Like I said that ruined the experience honestly but yah, the pizza was great.

But 4 what they charge you think they would have gotten it right the first time.

Morale of the story check your order before you leave even if you told them multiple times what you want specifically and they nod their head "yes, we got it" & even if they repeat it back to you correctly.

Just check your order before you leave other than that...

Vieux Carré Pizza is a solid hidden gem in the French Quarter that delivers great value without cutting corners on quality. I stopped in for a quick bite and left genuinely impressed with both the food and the price point. I ordered a slice of meat pizza and a meatball sub — both were satisfying and flavorful. I had to stop eating the pizza just to get a picture real quick before I forgot.

The pizza slice had a perfectly crispy crust that held up well under the generous layer of cheese and meat toppings. The meats were fresh, well-seasoned, and not greasy, giving each bite a balanced, hearty flavor.

The meatball sub was just as good, if not better. It came loaded with tender, juicy meatballs that were packed with flavor and felt homemade rather than processed. The sub was big, satisfying, and filling — the kind of sandwich that really sticks with you in the best way. The bread was soft yet sturdy enough to hold everything together, and the sauce and melted cheese tied it all together without overwhelming the meat.

Overall, Vieux Carré Pizza delivers on all fronts: quality, flavor, and value. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick slice or a hearty sub, it’s definitely worth a stop. I’ll be coming back for sure the next time...

I had a pizza from Magazine Pizza* My first night here in New Orleans it was quite disappointed. The next night not feeling like seafood I opted for pizza again and called these guys they called me back to verify my order during which time I was able to tell them about my experience previous night with magazine pizza. The guy said I'm going to make you the right pizza. you got my order correct it was hot delivered quick and very good. it wasn't high-end pizza but it was solid pizza. I'm very appreciated by a happy customer out of town and hungry. (edit: tbf, the magazine pie was ' delivered ' by this joke called GrubHub...do not used this service: they deliver on bike & mush everything up+ it's cold & has bike rider smell all over it . Nothing against bicyclist, just don't care for my food to come via one . )
