Okay, I’ve been in customer service for over 10 years and there was a serious lack there of today. Very disappointed. I’ve been there a few times before and we enjoyed the ice cream. We got regular sizes and liked the atmosphere. That’s why we went by there today. However, this time, I walked out with nothing and went to the ice cream shop around the corner. Why? I asked for two kiddie cups. One for my son and one for me. I only wanted the same size because I have to watch the amount of sugar I have after a recent doctor appointment and I must lose weight, but I was trying to treat my son before taking him to his dad’s house. I was trying to have one last special moment before he was gone for 3 days. Wouldn’t it be better to make the money and get a returning customer than to flat out say “sorry, I can’t sell you a kiddie size”? Not to mention, even getting questioned about it, is inappropriate. What if I had an older child sitting outside or was getting it for another family member etc? I am a grown woman and should not be questioned why I’m buying the kiddie size. Wish I could have more, but I literally can’t. I will not be returning after have gone the few times before and having recommended the place previously. I never make complaints about businesses, but...
Read moreThe ice cream here is disgusting so I contacted the owner of this place about the issue, but had to ask my question three times before getting a clear answer. When I asked why it took so long, they kept repeating 'have a blessed night' without explanation. I've also seen reviews where the owner asked customers to remove negative reviews, because it's costing them money, and even belittled a customer's boyfriend for leaving a one-star review which in my opinion makes the owner look like a fool. If you look at any other 1 star review, the owner says “fake review, reported to google” instead of fixing the issues that the customers are talking about. This means the owner most likely wants a fake online reputation of having good reviews only and no negative reviews to make their business appear better than it actually is. Also the owners claim of harassment seems like an attempt to silence my criticism and avoid accountability. You shouldn’t own a business if you can’t take criticism. If I'm supposedly harassing the owner, then why did google email me saying "Your new review is a great...
Read moreI have been to this awesome creamery at various times of the day and even the night. Every time I am there I get yet another awesome dessert. I have purposely tried variations of flavors to see if there is one better than the previous one and every time I find my new favorite. I even had a chicken salad sandwich there twice. Each time it was superb. The most amazing thing is every time I show up, there is a line that is quickly served. The most I ever waited was three minutes and that line was out the door. Every server has a smile, every dessert a story. The owners are amazing and they inspire others to leave with a full belly and a smile on their heart. Downtown NPR couldn't have a better business added to their community of professionals. I personally endorse and promote this business as a must see when in downtown NPR across from the beautiful Sims park. I cant wait til the two other two establishments open. Cotee River Creamery and Desserts has set the bar high in expectations by giving continuous excellent service and desserts. "There is always room for Dessert" indeed.... David...
