My family decided to grab coffee here before a show right down the block. There were few other coffee shops on and around the block but I figured it would be good to support this place for it's more low key but interesting coffee boast. Ordered a capp and macchiato. The cashier instructed us, let me repeat that, instructed us to choose from the three "featured" beans for our order. Sneaky upcharge because the bill grew by $6 dollars. He immediately left and when I questioned the barista, who was super sweet, she said "Oh I don't know, he went to break and there is nothing I can do". She said that the choice of three beans were $3 more but the handwritten sign clearly hides that fact and doesn't have a dollar sign by the craftily tucked in +3 in the description text. Felt like a total tourist trap and unscrupulous move at that point and I promise you I'm not just saying this for the bad taste the upcharge left, the coffee was not at all impressive and even tasted lacking of flavor with the milk. Super disappointed. Should of chosen the clean, sleek coffee shop right up the block. As we walked out he was sitting at one of the outside tables for his break as seen in my photo. We had to get in line for the show so I decided not to ruin his break and since there seemed no way to revert the unfortunate action...
Read moreI recently visited 787 coffee, and I must say it was a delightful experience. I have visited many coffee shops and this experience was fun and unique. Here's why:
Warm and Welcoming Service: The barista Erika greeted me with a smile and made me feel right at home. Their friendly demeanor set the tone for a pleasant visit.
Expertly Crafted Drinks: I ordered a latte, and it was perfection. The balance of flavors, the velvety texture, and the beautiful latte art—it was clear that this barista takes pride in their work. I appreciated the chance to try a new coffee that represents latino culture.
Attention to Detail: Not only did they make a fantastic coffee, but they also paid attention to the little things. My cup was clean. Erika took the time to ask what I normally like so that she can recommend a new drink that I had never tried before.
Cute and Sunny Atmosphere: the interior is charming, with fun and unique artwork. It’s a cozy spot to enjoy your coffee and soak in the ambiance.
Overall, I highly recommend 787 coffee as a fun NYC experience. Erika's skill, warmth, and welcoming demeanor, mixed with the ambiance and delicious coffee make this place a standout. I’ll definitely be...

First Try: I took the recommended Corquito Latte with rum infused beans. (Horchata sounds interesting too but Porto Rican festivity sounds more fun XD) Warmly spiced, mellow vanilla-flavored, with a happy sweet coconut base but not too overwhelming (supposedly same calories as a latte?)
Classic latte with oat milk is just as tasty.
I tried the whisky-inflused cortado at another shop the other day and it has a more prominent profile. (I don’t drink alcohol but I like the vanilla-nutty-chocolaty taste left behind.)
Very cheerful people! Brightened my day before my morning coffee 🌞 Coffee takes time because all the varieties.
My parents don’t like chicken so I’ll have to skip the golden shiny empanada today but maybe I’ll sneak back for it next time :3 Hope there can be veggie or...
