I very much dislike this theater. Last year for our one year anniversary my girlfriend and I decided to go to NY. She had never been, and always wanted to go, and I just loved NY and additionally my hero Mel Brooks at the age of 92 was going to do a live show. I woke up early in the morning, and bought decent tickets, nothing to expensive, but then later that day I saw there was a VIP opportunity. I got really excited, because it was my dream to meet him. I talked to my girlfriend and because she is the best girlfriend ever she agreed to get a VIP ticket with me. The tickets I believe were a little over 600 dollars each (if not more), and keep in mind I was a student, and this 600 dollars was almost all of my savings, but you know when you have a dream, especially one that you might not get a chance to accomplish again, you have to do it. The description online for the VIP experience was a little confusing, so just to make sure (because again 600 is a lot especially when you don't have much more) I called the theater directly to ask them if this was indeed a meet and greet, and they said yes. Later that day my girlfriend called them as well, and they again said yes. So, the next day when I was about to upgrade the tickets, I decided to triple check and I called the theater again to make sure, and guess what they said, yes. I got the tickets, and I did not regret it one bit, I was so excited! The VIP experience began I think two hours before the show in the Italian restaurant next to the theater, that's where we thought he would come, but he never came. All we got was not a very good Italian buffet, a signed poster, and I'm not going to lie incredible seats in one of the first few rows. I can't complain about the seats, or the show, both of those were amazing. But if I knew there was no meet and greet, I would have for sure not spend my savings on this and either would my girlfriend. Like I said I could have gotten much better food for much cheaper, the poster was nice, but I didn't need it, I had something signed by him already, and while the seats were incredible, I didn't mind much worse seats like I bought initially, I only spent most of my savings to meet my hero, and that did not happen! We talked to someone there, who was kind of running the VIP event, but she said she can't really do anything about it and we have to talk to the box office. So a couple days later (as not to ruin the rest of our trip by focusing on this) we called the box office. For starters the lady was so rude! For someone in the customer service industry, she knew not one thing about customer service. She disagreed with everything we said to her. Eventually we asked to speak to a manger, and she said they are not here right now, I'll leave your name and number on a sticky note, and she'll call you guys back. This was a year ago so I'm having a hard time remembering exact lengths of time, but a few days or maybe a week later we called back because we still had not gotten a call. We were told the manger is not in, and they're sorry they haven't called yet and the manger will call me when she can. About a month later, after still never getting the call I decided to try talking to Ticket Master, but of course they could not do anything since it was the theater people who told us there would be a meet and greet. So i tried filing one of those credit card complaints, and they also could not give me my money back, again because they paid ticket master not the theater. We ended up giving up and never getting our money back. I'm sorry for the super long, not very well written review, but I'm just still so angry and upset a year later. Thank you for reading, I do want to say one more time, the show itself was incredible, I mean how can Mel not...

Read moreI visited this theater on 8/14/22, for the final 8pm Tina Turner Musical. This is not a review of the show but the theater. The theater itself is decent and provides a nice view regardless of where you sit due to its size and close seating; however, the close seating doesn't provide for much leg and arm room. Very tight, the person next to me could barely fit in the seat comfortably. I sat in orchestra Row V at the end and view was perfect. The ladies room was clean and I appreciate the staff recognizing the ratio of women to men and allowed the men's room to accommodate the woman during intermission while still allowing the men to also us the restroom. The woman used the stalls which is on a different side; however, the sinks are in between so you can see the men standing up to use the bathroom. That might be a problem for some but for a woman doing the potty dance you get in and out, a drink, and back to your seat before the intermission is over.
Cons: The bartenders were rude!!!! No one to complain too because I was told by another bartender that they are all rude including the manager so I had to take my complaint to the theater manager who had nothing to do with the bartenders. So that complaint probably went no where.
If there is a musical number on and your not in your seat they make you stand in the back until it's over.
The theater would have gotten a higher rating; however, the rude bartenders takes away from the experience. I see there are other reviews which also speaks about the attitude of the staff. My only hope is that it's...
