I'm not from NY, I'm from Texas, but wow what a great restaurant this is . I love the salad I ate and especially the bread with butter and the olive oil and then the green and black olives they give you and the coldest beers . I loved how the bartenders and the manager made me feel welcomed . People if you're in this area don't pass this place up it's truly a great place . If a country boy from Texas loves this place then anyone will really love this place . I can't wait to go back and eat and just hang out and drink some really cold Budweiser's. The ceiling was still under construction, entrance wall was covered in plastic. It's 2 stores united. Bar side is medium size and it felt a little dive due to its look and the older males sitting at bar. Waiter can speak Spanish and Portuguese. Food was mediocre at best. But they were patient and did accommodate to our senior requests. Sangria was meh. Would not go back unless they get an improved cook/chef and shorten the menu. Read moreI wanted to like this place...but its a no from me. I ordered for pickup and when I stepped inside the ambiance was actually very nice but the food not so much. The Mariscada Zarzuela (in the tray) was over-priced ($33) and didn't taste fresh. The pork Alentejana tasted like they were smothered in buffalo sauce. If that was the case I'd just go to Buffalo Wild Wings and not a Portuguese restaurant. Next, the "vegetarian" platter just looks pathetic.
