Ademi Coffee and Tea — Restaurant in New York

The only thing this place has going for it is how pretty it is on the inside, that’s it. We walked in and only ordered 2 drinks and 2 sandwiches. It took the guy in there almost a half hour to make the drinks alone, we ended up cancelling the food order because we had somewhere to be.

My smoothie was definitely not a smoothie, it tasted like milk and was so watery. My husband ordered a dirty chai and I’ve never tasted a dirty chai as nasty as this one. It was straight up water with a little bit of chai flavor. Not worth the expensive price.

Also, the choice of music was bizarre. It was a man repeatedly saying “Crack rock, crack rock, smoking stones in abandoned homes” like what? What kind of music is that for a coffee shop? 😭 please...

The coffee here is actually really good, but the service is definitely subpar. I ordered an iced latte with whole milk, and noticed as the barista was putting in the espresso shots that she had a carton of oat milk out. I told her I asked for whole milk, with masks it’s super hard to understand what people say sometimes so I totally understand it was an accident. But her response was actually insane... “why didn’t you say something” sorry what? If you’re going to charge 7 dollars for coffee, at least make sure your baristas are well versed in...

It’s cute and the selection is vast. I always stop in to get the strawberry mojito and it’s so refreshing! However my issue and why I’m giving 3 stars, is that every time I order the Turkey sandwhich it’s different each time and very skimpy. For a $13 pricepoint I think it should have more than 2 cherry tomatoes. Also, if you are going to switch the ingredients because you are out of something, the person making it should at least inform me beforehand because people have food allergies.
