Antique Garage's location in SoHo, is SO lovely!! My friends & I visited for the first time this weekend and we had a great experience for brunch. The food is so delicious - we split a couple of appetizers (we tried the Hummus + Borek). Each dish was so, so yummy, as there was so much flavor and the portions were nice. For cocktails, their Mango Mezcalita was so good!! My boyfriend had a cup of Turkish coffee and it came with a small Turkish delight, which was so cute. They had live music when we visited as well, which added to the charm of the already beautiful atmosphere inside of this restaurant. This is an awesome spot - highly recommend!! UPDATE (6/1/2024): My boyfriend & I returned to Antique Garage for dinner with family this weekend, and it was an equally wonderful experience (after we initially visited for brunch). We tried the Meze Trio with Muhammara, Hummus, and Tzatziki, Grilled Octopus, Fennel Avocado Salad, Grilled Salmon, and a side of their Mashed Potatoes. Everything was so delicious!! For cocktails, we did the Mango Mezcalita again, but also tried the Mezcal Negronic & Spicy Margarita as well during this visit. Can confirm: Antique Garage is a great spot for dinner!!

The food is great, but my review is for the service. I made reservations for two friends of mine and wanted to send them a bottle of champagne as a nice gesture. This is a fairly normal thing to do in Manhattan. I called to do so, and after giving my card information to the guy on the phone, he asked that I send over an image of my card with my ID, to his personal number, no less. I understand that they need to verify identity, but with a policy like that, they need to have better organization on how that information is delivered, with assurance that it will be sent to a secure company email. I asked to speak to the manager at this point to verify his request, since it seemed odd. The manager told me it was their policy and that if I didn’t deliver, they would cancel my order. He told me there were “about 40 people waiting to talk to him” and that he didn’t “have time to argue with me.” I hardly ever make a fuss like this, but releasing sensitive financial information is something I absolutely will question. I begrudgingly agreed to send over the requested photos, with the all the info but the last four digits and my name blacked out. I just wanted my friends to have something nice, and they not only made it difficult, but were also extremely rude to me over a very simple request. If this is the experience over the phone, I would encourage you to make a reservation elsewhere. UPDATE: After all of this, my friends NEVER RECEIVED the bottle!! Had to call and request a refund, which still hasn’t come through three...

I rarely leave bad reviews and I hate it but I must share it!! Really really bad experience!!! I took my girlfriend for lunch since it was her birthday, once arrived I informed my waitress that we were there to celebrate her bday and that she was allergic to peach and bell pepper. So we asked for the trio of mezze and a mango salad..the appetizer arrived with not side of crudities since they were cut with peppers and I had to ask for extra bred and the mango salad arrived without jalapeño but we were ok and we were looking forward to have the main courses!! As a main we order Adana Kebab and grilled octopus, but after 40 min the manager came and informed us that lamb was marinated with bell peppers so we choose the chicken, but after five minutes she came back again and told us that all the meat were marinated with bell peppers so we decided to get just the octopus. After another 10 min the manager came back to the table with the octopus but she specified that even the octopus was grilled on the same grill where they grill the bell peppers at that point we decided to leave. She was kind to comp the two glasses of Prosecco and the appetizer but I can’t understand why it took almost 1 hour and half to let us know all this drama about the bell peppers since it was the first thing I mentioned!! Really sad because the place look cool and the food seems good I wish I had tried it!! Little suggestion…train your waiters and kitchen staff to communicate better...

I’m writing this as I’m currently battling what I think is the flu ..I worked here for a total of one day.I was asked to come in a total of 5 days including one double on Saturday by the manager I don’t remember his name but he’s a tall older black male with a bald head ..He DID NOT Inform me ever at any point that I was being trial nor that I was to be there for 5 days without pay including a double on Saturday ..I was informed of this on my second day of work by a young woman working there who informed me that she worked several “training shifts “ without pay ..On my second day the owner was there .I was told then after asking for paper work that I wasn’t hired and that he was just trying me and that “If I didn’t take my hands out of my pocket I wouldn’t be hired there because it isn’t a coffee shop “ That was it I quietly walked out after that .On top of that they lied on Craigslist and said that they pay 20$ when they really only pay 11 an hour with a small percentage of the tip pool according to the girls working there .I notice how nothing was signed there was only a verbal agreement for me to come in but not once was it mentioned to me that I was being “tried” until I inquired about the necessary paperwork to be compensated .I am livid to say the least ..Illegal business practices you can’t give someone a full time schedule to “try” them without pay ..A good number of the employees are foreigners they are taking advantage of them...
