Alba Accanto — Restaurant in New York

Had a fun night at Alba Accanto a couple weeks ago. First off, the space is beautiful! It’s truly a sexy space, that is perfect for a date or pre dinner drinks & snacks. I tried multiple glasses of wine, that were all fantastic. Although I wasn’t familiar with the specific producers, the Nebbiolo, etna rosso & others were all outstanding. Also ordered a personal favorite, gin martini with a twist and it was perfect. The snacks were on point as well. The toro melts in your mouth and is the best thing I tried. The langoustine was also delicious, as was the tartare. A heads up, I only tried multiple crudi’s and they are smaller in size. My recommendation is to avoid the hostess at all cost. She gives a negative feeling to the entire experience. Sad for such a great restaurant with fantastic food. Everything we ate was delicious, fresh and delightful! When we entered the restaurant we had a reservation. There were two tables taken inside, and two tables taken outside on the terrace, as it was a 5:30 pm reservation. When we left at 7:00pm maybe a quarter of the restaurant was full.
