Albatross is the exact bar I always needed but never knew I wanted until I came here. A queer dive bar with the most lovely regulars, phenomenal staff, and mind-blowingly talenred performers, Albatross always has something fun going on, whether its Gayme Night with Avant Garbage every Wednesday, Drag Bingo with Angela Mansberry every Sunday afternoon followed by Retro Rewind with Sherry Poppins or Monday Karaoke with rotating hosts. If you are weary of the dystopian nightmare and need some inspiration your medicine is We the People night with Harriet Tugsman every Friday. If you need to let loose and feel so accepted and body positive its bordering on hedonistic, make sure to come to Lacy Stoner's "Beef" night every 3rd Thursday or feel sensuous and sexy at Lilith Moon's "Underwear Parties" every 2nd Tuesday. Albatross is a fantastic Queer space that offers a vibrant and entertaining atmosphere. One of the main highlights of this bar is the fantastic drag shows that take place regularly. The performers are incredibly talented and always put on a great show, leaving the audience thoroughly entertained.

Moreover, the bartenders, including one of my absolute favorites, Gierre, are fantastic. They are friendly, attentive, and know how to mix a great drink. They always go above and beyond to make sure that customers are happy and having a good time. Their professionalism and expertise are truly impressive.

This place really is "The Queer Cheers of Astoria". Its a fun, safe space where you'll always feel welcome. They host tons of events and games if you're looking for something to do, or meet-ups and Happy Hours for relaxing and conversation. I'm a big karaoke fan, so Fridays are my favorite night. I even decided to celebrate my birthday there this weekend. Hassan (@hassanintheworld) is the karaoke host Queen and she is absolutely amazing - so entertaining and talented too!
