There are not enough positive words in the dictionary to describe this clinic. Since Day 1, Monina was so helpful and was patient in answering all of my questions. She was so supportive and timely in emailing me paperwork and getting me started right away. Upon entering, even though I was very nervous as a first time OT patient, I felt a level of ease and comfort. I was immediately greeted with smiles and salutations. The open space of the clinic made it warm and inviting and I knew right away I was in the right space. The cleanliness and the care to sanitizing was really a comfort to me as well. The Starburst are really great too! Costa got to know me and my injury right away. He asked questions about my pain and what my goals were. He always checked in with how I was feeling and really took his time in making sure that not only I progressed in my therapy but also that I was comfortable. I look forward to therapy to not only get better, but to learn too. Costa explained hand anatomy to me in a way that helped me understand exactly what was wrong to me. When I first started, I had a brace that big, bulky and really annoying. After working on my injury, Costa made me a custom splint that was easy to work with and made me feel so much better! Sierra was a joy to see every time I had therapy. She was so kind with a constant smile. We have inside jokes and laughs but also learned from each other at the same time. I really look forward to seeing them every therapy session and I always can’t wait to go back, even though the goal is to leave! I cannot thank SOMA enough for all of their support and encouragement from the beginning of my occupational therapy until the near end. This clinic is truly a hidden gem and I am so happy to have discovered it! Not that I would want to get hurt again but if so, SOMA would be the first place I go and I recommend SOMA to anyone who needs occupational or physical therapy!

Place is clean, organized, well run. Dr. Costa is great listener, very attentive, professional, knowledgeable, family oriented, friendly and charismatic. My left hand is getting back to full motion range slowly but thanks to Dr. Costa for whom The patient is the real priority. He does more for you than what the insurance pay. Dr. Costa and his brother are there for you when needed. Fully recommended. Melina, their secretary is awesome, great job guys. Thanks

SOMA PT and OT is honestly a one of a kind practice. Over the years, I have been to many different different places, and none of them can and probably will ever match my experience at SOMA. It is truly the gold standard. Costa and George are amazing practitioners, and Monina is the best! Every time I came to SOMA I truly felt seen and special. They see so many patients, but I felt like a person to them and not just another patient they were treating. I have a lot of chronic issues that are mostly undiagnosed and have fluctuating symptoms, but Costa and George worked with me and met me where I was at. Even when my goals for treatment changed based on where I was at, they were flexible and understanding enough to work with that. That is not common at PT and OT practices!!!! While I was already seeing them, I had an ankle injury, and so I was seeing George for this. Unfortunately, my ankle injury took a really really long time to heal. It was unclear what was going on. But George was so patient and kind through it all. My experience with Costa is similar. I actually did OT with him at a location before he co-founded SOMA with George, and I was in a similar situation with my hands/wrists as I was when I'd seen him a few years prior. There was really no guidebook to how to address the issues. But Costa was always ready to try different things to see what could help get me stronger, reduce my pain, etc. As a practice, SOMA is also very communicative with you about insurance benefits and other administrative matters. I was commuting from outside of Queens and every second of the commute was worth it. I am not in a position where I can physically make the commute anymore via public transportation, and that is the only reason why I am not getting care at SOMA anymore. If you took the time to read all this, I can't stress enough how cared for you will be at SOMA PT and OT. I highly recommend it, and I know you will not only get great treatment but support as well. To the SOMA team- you all have had such a huge impact in my life, and I really appreciate all that you've...

Absolutely amazed at the professionalism, timeliness, and thorough efficiency of the hard workers at SOMA.

Monina is one of the most polite people i have ever met. She always tries to be as accommodating as possible with scheduling and is super organized and on-top of all the paperwork, which makes it easy as a patient to not have to worry about referrals and doctor notes.

Vincent and George are outstanding. These physical therapists are always personalizing different stretches and exercises to fit my individual needs. I started with George who worked strategically to figure out all the puzzle pieces of my specific hip, back, and neck situation. When Vincent joined the team, it was as if I never even switched providers. The transition was absolutely seamless. He clearly made the extra effort to understand me ans my case. He not only remembers specific details about past therapy sessions but also details about anecdotal conversations, which make me feel like I’m not “just another patient”.

While I have not personally worked with Costa, i want to say that he always greets me hello. In fact, everyone here greets each patient hello and goodbye and they all know the majority (if not all) of the patients’ names, which truly speaks to their dedication to the SOMA community.

There are not enough good things that i can say about SOMA and while the end goal is to be discharged from therapy, i will be sad when it’s my time to go.

Needless to say, I...
