Had been coming to this location almost every week for the last few months but will not plan to return after my most recent shady charges. While the pastries are nice and consistent, my experience buying drinks is super inconsistent. Shady prices - menu prices are not including hidden surcharges.
Ordered drinks multiple times, and each time I was told something different - some days the employees will say there is no sugar in a drink, other days they will say there is already sugar mixed in? Worst was when you order tea, they add an additional $.70-.80 charge for a tea bag without telling you beforehand and without that surcharge being listed anywhere. Then is the ~$3.50 price of tea on the menu for just hot water? When I asked about it, I was just told 'no that's right', even though I had never paid that surcharge in previous visits. Never bought a tea anywhere and had them charge me for the actual teabag for almost $1, on top of the price of the tea...

I asked them to reduce my second item, they said no. They claimed there was an order minimum (only after I gave them the idea, so I doubt it really exists), and it only applies to my second order. The dude basically cost his employees not get any tip for my takeout order, but I don't think he cares about that either.
Pistachio bombolone: 5 stars, definitely get that one, you won't be disappointed.
Vanilla bombolone: not worth it, very simple. For that price I expected vanilla beans inside and made with actual vanilla.
Cannoli: not worth it. The filling...

I thought I'd buy only two for my diet and visit more often from now on. Then I left and got on the train then realized that my wallet was gone. So, someone might have alrady picked it up, but I thought, let's try going back once more. When I went back to Angelia’s, guess what? The sweet owner told me, 'You dropped this. I've been looking for you.' It's such great news that this place opened on Lexington Ave, and the owner is so nice, which makes it even better....
