Had been coming to this location almost every week for the last few months but will not plan to return after my most recent shady charges. While the pastries are nice and consistent, my experience buying drinks is super inconsistent. Shady prices - menu prices are not including hidden surcharges.

Ordered drinks multiple times, and each time I was told something different - some days the employees will say there is no sugar in a drink, other days they will say there is already sugar mixed in? Worst was when you order tea, they add an additional $.70-.80 charge for a tea bag without telling you beforehand and without that surcharge being listed anywhere. Then is the ~$3.50 price of tea on the menu for just hot water? When I asked about it, I was just told 'no that's right', even though I had never paid that surcharge in previous visits. Never bought a tea anywhere and had them charge me for the actual teabag for almost $1, on top of the price of the tea...

Be aware they have weird practices to sell you more. They specifically said "if you order another it would be 50% off" while I already ordered two items and didn't pay yet. I asked them to reduce my second item, they said no. They claimed there was an order minimum (only after I gave them the idea, so I doubt it really exists), and it only applies to my second order. I was about to leave without paying but I stayed and got an extra cannoli for 50% off. Not to mention they combined all of these in a single order, unlike what the dude claimed before.

The dude basically cost his employees not get any tip for my takeout order, but I don't think he cares about that either.

Pistachio bombolone: 5 stars, definitely get that one, you won't be disappointed.

Vanilla bombolone: not worth it, very simple. For that price I expected vanilla beans inside and made with actual vanilla.

Cannoli: not worth it. The filling...

I used to love angelina when I lived in Hell's Kitchen. But now, I have to take the train home from Grand Central in another state. Every time I go out in the city and head back home, I've been feeling sad because I couldn't find anything nearby to satisfy my craving. But when I saw this, I got so excited! I thought I'd buy only two for my diet and visit more often from now on. Then I left and got on the train then realized that my wallet was gone. So, someone might have alrady picked it up, but I thought, let's try going back once more. When I went back to Angelia’s, guess what? The sweet owner told me, 'You dropped this. I've been looking for you.' It's such great news that this place opened on Lexington Ave, and the owner is so nice, which makes it even better....

The smell of bread and sweets will draw you in but for me, the customer left me a sour taste. I walked in to this small bakery with my child. As soon as we entered, we were not greeted with the same enthusiasm as the other customers but we proceeded to order 5 Bombolones. As we were leaving, I noticed how my order was boxed in a cheap container and how the rest of the customers- mostly caucasians, were given nice turquoise boxes with their company logo. I instantly regretted my purchase and even having to tip. I will not return to this place even if their pastries were decent due to the fact that I’m against racist behavior. P.S.- avoid the pistacho flavored Bombolones if you hate over the top sweet pastries.

“Angelina Bakery is every baker’s dream come to life. From the moment you spot the pastries in the window, it’s pure magic. And don’t get me started on watching the chefs in action—it’s like a live performance of creativity, precision, and mesmerizing artistry! Now, the taste? Oh. My. Goodness. The first bite had me salivating. It’s the perfect blend of fresh, crunchy, chewy—just the right crunch—and every bite feels like a sensory overload in the best way possible. The atmosphere? Chef’s kiss. The workers are always smiling, the vibe is always on point, and you can’t help but leave with a full heart and an even fuller belly. Angelina Bakery isn’t just a bakery—it’s an experience, and I’m obsessed!”
