Loved this cafe during my recent NYC visit. I live overseas now but lived in the area over 10 years ago and visit regularly. So coming from someone who has seen the area change over the years, this place is a gem and one I would definitely come back to. Excellent tacos and baked goods with a range of options for all dietary requirements. Fav was the lemon lavender cake 🤤🤤🤤. Some patrons might think the staff is rude - other reviewers who seem to lack the knowledge of what it’s like to work in the restaurant industry. Yes - tip your barista/server. Pretty simple. I appreciate the progressive values of this establishment and I think that’s important when it comes to where you choose to spend your money. Wishing the owners all the very best! It’s lovely when you can see the heart and soul of a place ❤️❤️❤️.

Finally a coffee shop nearby with fresh, hot delicious, real food. They bake everything in house so it smells like you’re in someone’s home, I have dreamt on the daily about the egg and cheese on a croissant, so buttery crispy and melty. The menu is vegetarian and there is so much love cooked into the food, not to mention they bring your food to you which was unexpected and above and beyond. I came to learn they make all their syrups in house so the vanilla coffee you’ll find specks of vanilla bean, and the lavender is so legit. Everytime I walk in i feel like I’m home, the people who work there are friendly and down to earth. It has officially become my home base.

I stumbled upon this spot with a friend while we were in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired—no greeting when we walked in, just a vibe like they were doing us a favor by letting us be there. The cashier’s attitude didn’t help either. To top it off, they have a sign suggesting that if you don’t want to tip, you should make your own breakfast. Honestly, tipping wouldn’t have even crossed my mind after that kind of service. That said, the baked goods are absolutely 10/10. If you can overlook the lackluster service for some top-tier muffins or banana bread, it might still be worth a visit.
