Had a long wait time of 50 minutes. We waited; not a problem. Got the text that our table was ready, went back into the establishment just to be told that our talk will take another 15 minutes before we can be seated.
Finally got seated at our table at 7pm. Waitress introduced herself; asked if we needed time to look over the menu; we said yes, then she proceeded to say she would give us a few moments and come back to check in with us. 30 minutes later she still wasn't back.
Got a little annoyed but gave more time because they were packed and busy. The manager finally came over after asking for her (management) a full 45 minutes after being seated. She informed us that she took our waitress from waiting tables to put her at the bar. Which I thought was poor management skills. Then told us she would be our waitress instead.
We finally were able to place our orders an hour and 15 minutes after being seated at our table. Appetizers came out fast. The chicken taco wantons were great. The classic combo appetizer was good minus the spinach artichoke dip, very lackluster. The buffalo boneless wings were the same. Completely missed its mark.
When it was time to order the entrées we had to keep looking around for a waitress. One person at my table received their meal right away; while my daughter's meal never came out nor was my order placed. Waited another 30 minutes before our orders were correct/placed. Food took so long to come out my other daughter fell asleep at the table and the other guest at my table was completely finished eating.
My steak was dry and fatty, but the salmon, mash and green beans were good. My daughter said that her food was good also but we ended up taking our food home with us.
I believe that the manager was overwhelmed, plus it was a holiday. More employees and training to accommodate high volume customers would really help this establishment. It has never been so crazy before. As this was not our...
Read moreThe first time I visited this particular location, I felt racist vibes. I literally watched my bartender make someone of Hispanic descent drink different than they made mine, and we ordered the exact same drink, a happy hour Long Island. They gave me literally I part vodka, and the rest was Long Island mix. The Hispanic person got vodka, rum, gin, etc. I bought this to the attention of the manager/supervisor on shift (Hispanic female, can’t remember her name, always has her hair in a ponytail) and she was AMAZING. She apologized to me, and even offered me a complimentary drink. I stayed because she gave me her time, which she did not have to do. I’ve been back to that location many times, and whenever I’m there and this manager sees me, she goes out her way to come check in with me, and ensures all is well with me. We have exchanged many conversations since, and she comes off as genuine, not just chatting because I’m a customer. I just also say, I have yet to see that server back at the bar since I’ve been going back. All in all, it seems to depend who’s managing the shift that day as to what type of service you will get. There are times I go when she isn’t there and the service isn’t that great. The male managers are far less understanding to people than I’ve seen her be. From what I’ve seen, it’s about 80% or more of the staff that’s Hispanic descent, which I’m all fine with. But they shouldn’t openly treat certain groups better than others. In my case, if you wanna hook up someone with an extra shot or something, go for it, but I expect to get what I pay for, even if it’s weak. Thankfully, this manager is probably the only reason I go to this location. I live 5 mins from this location, and there are times I will drive to the Fordham location if she isn’t at the Exterior location. My advice, tell the bartenders to not be so open with their favoritism (I’m not gonna...
Read moreIt was ok. Our server, Robert, was a little rude. The hostess explained to us that if we wanted to order for our children, to use the tablet on the table. He was doing his introduction before we even got our coats off to sit down so we were rushed from jump. We ordered the kids food and sent the order to the kitchen. He comes back and we told him we ordered their food. He said, "you sent it to the kitchen already?" And my husband said, "yeah why, was that no good?" And he immediately grabbed the tablet and did something and said, "yea this thing is taking my job." Very inappropriate. Then I guess I was taking too long to order because he was looking impatient and my husband asked him if he was in a rush and he said yeah I just got mad other tables so my husband put his order in and told him to just come back for mine but we were basically ordering our dinner in parts when we could catch him flying past because him standing for 30 seconds at our table to take our order was too much for him. They need better communication between hostess and wait staff because that's clearly causing conflict. And they need more wait staff so customers dont have to rush and order their meal they can actually take time and look at the menu. My husband wanted to try what I had but didnt want to hold up the stupid waiter so he got his usual instead. That's no good. And I still gave him a $2.44 tip. After paying $80. He didn't deserve even $.50 in my opinion. The the thing that saved the night, the good was excellent compliments to your chef enjoyed...
