The staff is great, but an older woman behind the bar was really unpleasant to me. They charged me $20 for a bag of coffee listed at $22. When i pointed out this error (in their favor!) she got all nasty and defensive. So bizarre. Later i realized that the bag they sold me was defective: the one-way air valve (to let out gassing CO2) was two-way, letting oxygen into the bag too. I tried to point this out nicely as well, and she again was nasty and defensive, telling me it was supposed to let air in and out. (This is flatly incorrect.)
I'll never go back. And if you see a lot of turnover in their staff, i bet it's...
Read moreI like the place, I usually go get our croissants from there. It’s a cute place very conveniently located. Right in front of my building. We love their pastries. Owners are super nice. Only issue is they didn’t open on times a couple of times in the morning and my morning schedule is too tight to wait too long for them to open so when that happens I have to walk 6 more blocks to get my croissants. Plus the other place I go to doesn’t allow dogs so I have to leave my dog outside … artisan café let me in even when my dog is with me which is great. So if you could just open on time that...
Read moreFabulous coffee and chilled atmosphere. Had a nice chat with the barista about the origin of the beans they use. Some people had gone there to drink alone, others were there to meet and chat with friends. Friendly and knowledgeable staff really made it easy for me to buy a bag of coffee beans to take home.
