I’m from out of town but my family lives nearby so I’ve been here a few times over the years and always had a decent experience. I went the other day for dip removal and regular mani as that’s all I had time for. It took 50 minutes to remove the dip- she used the electric file only (no polish remover/acetone) and my nails are now paperthin. I’ve never seen anything like this. I get dip regularly and it’s always removed via file and remover, is quicker, and preserves the nail. She told me that dip is horrible for nails and that’s why they’re paper thin (I watched her file them down for 50 minutes to remove the polish). She then did a regular mani. I went back to the salon and they fixed it free of charge, which I really appreciated. However by the next day that same nail and two others had chipped. It’s now been a week later and I don’t have any polish left on any fingers. I’ve had gel multiple times before from other places, and it has lasted for 3 weeks to a month. I’m upset I paid 45$ for a gel manicure that lasted less then...
