This place was great!!! We found the spot on Instagram and decided to try it out, and I would totally come back here again!! It was a nice quiet neighborhood and was the perfect spot for Sunday brunch with the wife. The staff immediately said hi and salam to us, and let us pick any seat in the house. We chose the cute sofa in the back and were met with a huge menu full of all right brunch options we were craving. We thought we were gonna get actual breakfast food, which they had plenty of options for, but the wife and I couldn't keep our eyes off the sandwich options. You don't see halal for stuff like chicken parm and pastrami everywhere, so we ordered those in a heartbeat. Both sandwiches came steaming hot and were served with care on nice plates and wrapped in sandwich paper. We tackled the reuben sandwich first, which was pastrami, cheese, and sauerkraut, and it was the most mouthwatering sandwich ever. I would give it a 10/10. Then we tackled the chicken parm sandwich, which you just can't go wrong with. Breaded chicken, marinara, and cheese is just a no brainer. The chicken could've been a little juicer, so I give the sandwich a 9/10. We followed it all up with a dirty chai and caramel iced latte, which were both great. The dirty chai (iced chai latte with an espresso shot) was perfect for me because it wasn't overwhelmly sweet but still had a great touch of added flavor, I give it a 10/10. The caramel iced latte was super sweet which made my wife really happy hahaha, I would give it a 9/10 and she gives it a 10/10. The whole time, the staff took good care of us and it felt like we were at home. I would totally be a regular customer here if I lived nearby!! Overall, I highly recommend!!

Baker’s Cafe right by Rainy Park and Costco in Long Island City is the brunch spot to go to. Everything is halal on the menu. Feeling festive? The Thanksgiving Gobbler’s got all the flavors you’ll love. And it’s here till December! If you’re craving a meal then the crispy Shrimp Tempura served with rice and beans is for you! Need something light? The Turkey Bacon Monterrey’s perfect. Or go for the classic Bacon Egg and Cheese! The Meatball Parm—it's all about that cheesy, saucy goodness. Or, if you’re into savory, the Reuben’s a must-try. And for a serious comfort bite, the Loaded Potato will hit the spot. Don’t forget to try their Ube Matcha Latte—total vibe—or the unique Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate if you're craving sweet. For the refresher go for their Passion Fruit Fizz. Their menu has a lot to offer and it’s all at a reasonable price. It’s family friendly and has a cozy atmosphere.

A corner gem in LIC. Don’t mistake this for just another corner café. The menu offerings and actual food is diverse and delicious. I ordered the fish (flounder) platter with rice & beans, salad, and avocado. I couldn’t believe the generous portion that arrived at the table for the price I paid. My son ordered chicken tacos and we shared an order of shrimp tempura. The latter is uniquely drizzled with sauces you don’t normally find on tempura but surprisingly goes nicely with it! While I was eating, numerous regulars poured in and the owner and staff knew all of them. People coming thru the door welcomed by a warm greeting - hard to find these days. There are also fresh pastries and desserts. I ordered an ube latte and large chocolate chip cookie. When I asked the owner where they bought the cookies from, he replied, “oh, we bake them here (what?!). Nice. Check them out!

A Truly Exceptional Experience at Baker Cafe LIC!

If you’re looking for a cozy, welcoming spot in Long Island City, look no further than Baker Cafe LIC on 9th Street and 34th Ave. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a charming atmosphere that perfectly blends modern comfort with a touch of rustic warmth.

Our visit was made even more special by warm hospitality of Jesse, the owner. Jesse’s friendly and welcoming demeanor truly sets this cafe apart. He made us feel like we were part of the Baker Cafe family, and his passion for creating a memorable experience for his guests is evident in every detail.

We started with the Reuben sandwich, which was packed with flavor and perfectly balanced, and the chicken torta sandwich, a delicious fusion of savory and fresh ingredients. Both sandwiches were so satisfying that we couldn’t stop raving about them. For dessert, we indulged in the chocolate eclair and the passion fruit eclair, and oh my—they were absolute perfection.

What made our visit even more special was meeting up with a friend at the cafe. The relaxed and homey vibe of Baker Cafe LIC made it the perfect spot for a wonderful get-together. We laughed, shared stories, and enjoyed incredible food, all while feeling completely at ease—like we were right at home.

And yes, we’re already planning...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 Halal Bakers Cafe – Calm Vibes & Quality Eats

My visit to Halal Bakers Cafe was amazing from start to finish. The atmosphere was calm, clean, and super relaxing — a perfect spot to enjoy a meal without any rush or noise.

I had the rotisserie chicken with rice and beans, and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked — juicy inside with a flavorful, slightly crispy outside, topped with a tasty herb sauce. You could really taste the care they put into their food.

To top it off, they even gave us mozzarella sticks on the house — such a nice surprise, and they were so good!

But what really made the experience great was the service. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and really attentive without being overbearing. It felt like they genuinely cared that we were having a good time.

Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for good halal food, chill vibes, and excellent service. I’ll...
