We chose this hotel based on good reviews and the price and we were very wrong and regretted it. We had two rooms, checked in at 4am and didn't notice that one room wasn't even being cleaned. You could hear everything that was going on outside, construction and shouting. We asked to change rooms, when we did, they forgot underwear and socks in a bag in the bathroom of one room, the next day we reported this to the reception, for three days there was no information, at first they told us that the cleaners, if they find anything, immediately throw it away, then the manager told us that this couldn't be and if anyone forgot anything, they keep it and they don't need our things. In the end they told us that there was nothing in the room and our word was against the words of the staff, of course they won't admit that they threw out our things, but it's disgusting, they didn't offer anything and no compensation.
In the pictures everything is fine, in reality many of the rooms are not so new, for breakfast only buns and coffee, the area is disgusting, it is very unpleasant to walk around it, a lot of Africans and they are all stoned, there are no normal supermarkets or shops nearby at all. It is 10-15 minutes to the metro but it is very unpleasant to walk. The audibility in the hotel is terrible! The walls are cardboard like a box. You can hear everything that is happening in the next room, when we changed the room, we got no better, in the next room there were a lot of people and they sat until 3 am and had fun and listened to music, I called the reception, but it did not help. The windows are also disgusting, you will hear everything that is happening on the street, cars, screams, construction. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, it is better to pay more, but stay in Manhattan and in a 3 stars. They don't care about the guests, they win because of the low cost and you will receive the corresponding service. We often travel and sometimes forget things, but we always returned them, the first time like this. The deposit has not yet...
Read moreThis place is the worse hotel I've stayed in in the past 10 years!!
Please note, I wouldn't speak so harshly without proof!!
Storytime... June 20th-22nd, $550 for this 2 night stay, Room 206!!
I called a few weeks in advance prior to booking to inquire about parking. I spoke to a very nice gentleman and was told there's PLENTY of parking available. Nope! We spent 30 minutes looking for a space to park, 7-10 minute walk on super busy secluded street, with a lot of unsavory foot traffic.
Check in was smooth. A nice young lady assisted me, and assisted us w nearby food options.
We walked into our room... welp, you'll see the pics. Overall, the faults w the room could be addressed and fixed. It really needed tlc, clorox wipes, and fabuloso. Nothing heavy. I went to the front desk within 45 minutes of checking in to express concerns. The desk person who checked us in, ensured someone would come up to the room to address my concerns. There was an awful scent in the room, wet toothpaste on the bathroom wall, hair around the toilet (eww), dirty wallpaper, thick patches of dust, substance on nightstand, funky sheets that reeked of mildew, etc. A male employee knocked on our room door to inspect. He told me the bathroom walls couldn't be cleaned, after watching me clean a portion of it. He told me the room could not be cleaned further. He went as far as to blow the dust. I was not amused, and he didn't blow all of it.
I was so upset, I called customer service as soon as I arrived home on the 22nd. I spoke to Liz who promised I would hear from someone within 5 business. Here we are, July 27th... NOTHING. I haven't received a call, text, email, mail, nothing.
I am a repeat customer of this brand and typically book 2-4 rooms at a time. I feel highly disrespected as a long time customer
BEWARE! Save your money, and stay elsewhere!! Customer service, and respect doesn't...
Read moreI don’t usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience from my recent 4-night stay at the hotel.
To start, check-in was at 3 PM, which was fine, but I arrived at the hotel around 9 AM. I asked to leave my luggage while I explored the area. The walk to the subway was about 10 minutes, and while the view wasn’t particularly appealing, I didn’t feel unsafe. We returned to the hotel around 1:30 PM to rest before our official check-in. The staff were friendly, but I encountered my first issue when I retrieved my luggage and found a bug on one of my bags. I didn’t want to make a scene, so I brushed it off, but it was definitely a red flag. After a short wait, we finally got our room, which was modern and pleasing. However, later that night, I noticed an ant crawling on the bed. I quickly removed the bed covers and used my own blanket for the night. The next morning, I called the front desk to request more towels and a room cleaning, which I normally wouldn’t have to ask for. When I returned later, I found that my room hadn’t been cleaned, there were no towels provided, and the air conditioning wasn’t working. I called the front desk to report these issues, but they informed me that cleaning wouldn’t be available since it was past 5 PM. However, they were kind enough to bring up some towels. One day, my partner and I decided to grab some food and eat in the lounge instead of our room. To our shock, we found literal roaches on the walls—three of them! I immediately felt disgusted and left the lounge. Overall, this was one of the most unpleasant hotel experiences I’ve had. I hope my feedback helps the management address these concerns for...
