Came on the opening day, super long line as expected. waited from 7:20 to 8:40 before i got to leave with my food. front of house was very kind and helpful. Back of house on the other hand, very disorderly and chaotic. around 10+ people working the back and maybe 20- 25 customers on the line waiting for food. with 10 plus people i dont think it should take more than 10 minutes to refry chicken, there is no real cooking involved. a few of the back of house people i saw were more busy harassing the cashiers than making my food. even then they were all going so slow, none of them seemed like they wanted to be there. with all the chaos going on it got me wondering where the owner was this whole time! what kind of owner isnt there to run their restaurant on their opening day... but all that aside, i know Bonchon is a chain but the food was extremely disappointing. over an hours wait and the chicken i got was cold and wayyyy too huge! the drumsticks were probably leftover turkey legs from thanksgiving i could barely eat it when i got home, they were also super soggy and not crunchy at all which is like one of the 2 qualities you look for in kfc. the jap chae was also 16 dollars and the portion was so small. flavor wise it was pretty good but for 16 dollars i could get 2 boxset roast meat meals from around the corner and across the street. plus i got a ratio of like 1/5 noodles to 4/5 veggies. safe to say i most likely wont be coming back ever again unless someone i know tells me its gotten better. real shame, was really looking foward to them opening for awhile! one redeeming thing that came out of this was the complimentary...
Read moreI had a really disappointing experience at this Bonchon location. When I walked in, I wasn’t greeted at the counter at all. The employee working there (a short Black woman with a bun) was preparing orders, but didn’t say a single word or even acknowledge me. While waiting, my 9-year-old nephew slipped and fell hard on the wet floor near the register. It was raining outside, and although there was a wet floor sign, the floor was extremely slick and no one was actively cleaning it. The employee didn’t check on him, say anything, or even attempt to dry the area. I helped my nephew to a seat and went back to order. Again, I was ignored until I finally said something. I also pointed out the puddle of water where my nephew fell, still no response or concern from the staff. When she finally took my order, she did so with zero enthusiasm and then charged me incorrectly. I had to correct her, and she never apologized. Honestly, I didn’t even want to eat here anymore, but my nephew really wanted Korean fried chicken. Between the lack of customer service, safety concerns, and overall dismissiveness, this visit left a bad impression. I won’t be...
Read moreMy sister and I ordered the 6-piece wings in-store on Sunday at 9:37 PM since they were out of drumsticks. When we got home, the box only had 5 wings. I called the store at 10 PM to resolve the issue on the same day, but the person I spoke to was dismissive and unprofessional. I explained, "I ordered your 6-piece wings and only got 5," but she insisted the store doesn’t sell 5 wings and claimed I hadn’t ordered from them cause I had 5 wings. After over 5 minutes of back-and-forth, she finally understood and said she can't help me and the store was closed.
Like just say, “I’m sorry to hear that, but we’re closed right now. Please call back tomorrow, and someone can help you.” instead of giving an attitude😒. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told there wasn’t one available, and I had to ask if the manager would be in the next day. She said yes. I called twice the next day at two separate times, but no one picked up.
The food itself was good, but the customer service was terrible. The lack of accountability is especially concerning for a...
