I'll start off by saying that this was the most grossly overpriced and disappointing meals I've ever had in my life. Almost $40 USD for 1 pancake, 3 small strips of bacon, some eggs, and a small orange juice. ALL of the food was cold. Pancakes were so cold that the butter wouldn't even melt on them. I know it's the airport and prices are going to be a bit inflated, but $40 for that is criminal. And if I'm paying $40 for this small plate of simple breakfast food, it surely better be at least warm. Whoever runs this restaurant should be absolutely embarrassed to be the manager here, because looking at all the other negative reviews... clearly I am not alone, and clearly the manager hasn't done anything to improve anything based on all of the negative feedback since it opened. Also the responsibility falls onto the Bubby's as a company as well. The fact that they have not taken action above to improve things at this location... well that tells me a lot. The price is so egregiously high that I have no interest in ever visiting another Bubby's location just based on principle alone. I travel frequently, and will find myself in NYC again very soon, but there is a 0% chance I will ever return to this location within LaGuardia. Even if the meal was free, I'd pass. That's how disappointing it was. I just got home after spending 18 days in the USA and travelling from coast to coast, and this is the first (of probably 50+) reviews that I have chosen to do, because the entire point of Google reviews is so that people can see others experience and decide if they want to visit the place or not, and no other experience I had during my 18 days has feedback as valuable as I've explained above. Simply do not visit this location, please eat elsewhere within LaGuardia Airport. Look at my review, and the other negative reviews of this location and it paints a pretty clear picture. The only positive thing I will say is that the server to our table was very polite and kind.

My hubby and I were walking around looking for a spot to grab lunch and figured if a pre-packaged salad is $13-15 then might as well get a sit down meal. You order by scanning a QR code from the menu and place your order on their website. Relatively easy to use but the only annoying part is if they don’t have something on their menu it’s still there on their website and you won’t know until after you pay, the kitchen gets your order and they’ll tell you to submit a claim for reimbursement- not the end of the world but kinda annoying. We were surprised at how good everything was, food was cooked fresh to order, and was worth the price. I got the Branzino - which my hubby tried to talk me out of saying they’re probably not going to cook it well or it’s not going to be fresh. I took a gamble and surprise surprise! It was delish, flaky, and cheaper than I would normally get at a Greek restaurant in queens. I’ve flown out of LaGaurdia twice this year, and stopped by for their Branzino both times. I’ve also tried their Matzo ball soup, which came out piping hot and hearty - Hubby got their burger which was decent, fries were a toss (could be soggy or could be okay/crisp). There are people serving you and bringing you water and such, but a bit scarce if you’re not sitting by the counter.

Order via app is straightforward. I was greeted and given a short but friendly instruction on ordering. I just wanted a quick bite, so a drink and an appetizer was the game plane. Unfortunately, while friendly, service was slow and I had to request attention several times. There appears to be no way to order water in the app, so I would take this to mean it should be standard, but I had to request water be delivered. This was necessary as they had to make the tea - 15min. Then the deviled eggs took about 20 minutes. They did give me status that it was going to take a little longer, much appreciated, so they're trying. Food was good and nicely presented. I was thankful for a metal fork, sometimes it's the small things. I would give them another shot next time through terminal C.

I am not one to leave reviews. I travel for a living, so I know airport restaurants aren't great. But I feel morally compelled to leave a review to hopefully warn some of my fellow human beings to stay away from Bubby's.

My main complaint is that my order came with French fries and they were cold and soggy. Literally cold. Fries aren't a food that can be enjoyed cold so I asked politely for fresh fries. The waitress tried to dissuade me, saying that I'd have to wait but I insisted. After a very, very long time I received a plate of fries that were very hot but soggy. Clearly microwaved. I asked her if they were microwaved when she walked by me again and she admitted with a look of shame that they were and then proceeded to make excuses and say they have to wait for a new batch. Apparently they make big batches and not to order and they don't sell enough to distribute them before going cold? I insisted on fresh fries or I'd be getting a refund. A different lady came by and was more accomodating. She said she'd bring me fresh fries. And I got them after another 15 minutes. This is unacceptable. To not only bring cold fries out but to avoid making it right is unforgivable for a restaurant. I am not fussy or a complainer. As an aside, the food is bland and very disappointing. The chicken sandwich was very thin in a big portion of the fried breast, and it did not taste good. And I paid $30+ for this. No wonder their system has you tip before getting the food. I gave my unsolicited opinion to a couple about to come in and told them my experience. They thanked me for warning them and left. That inspired me to write this review. Hopefully more good comes from my bad experience and you choose some place else.

After leaving my review, I've been reading other reviews. I wish I had before eating here. I want to add that the owner is a disgraceful liar. The owner comments on reviews makes me more mad. He values the feedback and is sorry? That is a lie. The same stuff keeps happening. And apparently some customers are victims of fraud and were double tipped by the wait staff. Maybe the owner is in on the scheme. I don't know how he sleeps at night. He must have no mirrors...
