I am SO happy I tried this place! I'm definitely not the first to say that there aren't any good Chinese options in Astoria. HOWEVER, Bund on Broadway has saved my Chinese flavor craving taste buds! Since moving to Astoria from eastern Queens I had basically given up on Chinese food because other than this place they're pretty terrible in Astoria. Did I mention their soup dumplings, dim sum, and noodles are hand made?? THE DETAILS: * Pan fried pork buns - These are REALLY good. The dough is soft but crispy on the bottom (vs other places where it's dried out) and it was literally dripping with the meat sauce when I bit into it. The sauce also wasn't bland like some other places. * Dan dan noodles - This is so interesting. I've actually never had this noodle dish before so I wanted to try it and the flavor profile is quite unique. Definitely recommend giving it a try! * Spicy beef udon noodles - My boyfriend loves udon noodles so he opted for this dish. Other than the fact that he said they could have been spicier (but he has a really high spice tolerance) he still said they were REALLY good and this is the only place we can get Chinese food in Astoria (lol) *Zongzi (sticky rice with pork wrapped and steamed in a banana leaf) - We gave this a try and it was very nostalgic for me. The rice was a little wetter than I'm used to but that might be me thing? Overall very tasty. Wish I got the salted egg one though! *Matcha sesame balls filled with red bean paste - Oh my gosh I've never had this in matcha form. I always remembered going to dim sum with my family and getting these from the push carts but this is a new take on them. They were still warm when we got them (we did delivery) and they were delicious! If you liked sesame, red bean, and the stickiness of mochi, you will love this dessert! I'll be ordering again to try their cold sesame noodles next! Take my advice and give this place a try (and check out the yummy photos)!

I don't know what is going on with this place but why did they give a half full container for wonton soup with just a stack of wonton skins?! The drunken chicken was also disappointing, it was like they dropped an entire container of salt or it's brined. Called the store to tell about the chicken not being edible unless I was planning to die from a heart attack and they said that's how it's supposed to be. I've ordered this same dish from them about four times and it's never tasted like that. When I asked for a refund on only the chicken they were initially trying to understand the problem unil the owner got on the phone with an attitude and said it's Uber's problem and hung up on me. Called Uber and they said they can't refund because that's how the restaurant prepared it. Will not order from them ever again. I had recommended this place to others before and now I'm embarrassed that I did if this is how their service is going to be going forward. Extremely disappointed.

Anyone who reads my reviews (if that is a thing) knows I tend to lean towards being harsher with my stars. And this place definitely deserves 3.5 stars. Infact I would imagine a lot of people would go as far to say 4/4.5. They would be right if we where comparing this to places in the area that compete for this style of food. However iv been spoiled by Manhattan and the offerings there. While the buns are good her they don't compare with some of the fair within the city and therefore I can only give away 3 stars. However with all that said, this quaint little restaurant is decent. The food is tasty, served quickly and with a large amount of enthusiasm. Everything was as described with the spring roll being the weakest dish at the table. Currently this place is BYOB and there is a shop right next door. So that's super nice and easy. So lastly I should say I would probably go back but only if in the area and not going to the city. 🤷‍♂️

Terrible service, long wait for careless service, missing utensils, and I got burnt by my food. We waited 15 minutes for an available table to be "cleared", then after multiple attempts at making it clear we're ready to order, make eye contact, and then finally hold out my hand and ask to place our order. Then we waited while we watched everyone else getting served. We got our noodles after a long wait, and they were the coldest dish we got. We ate them, wondering where our other dishes were. We continued to watch others get their food, often with a couple things on the table at a time. We waited again for almost as long for our pan fried soup dumplings. They arrived, much larger than bite size, and without any spoon. So we poked a couple holes in them and I assumed that without a spoon they were a safe temperature to eat too I popped one whole into my mouth. Big mistake, it was boiling hot and I burned my mouth pretty well. We then saw several other tables get spoons with this order, so they could eat them normally! We then continued to wait while watching another couple, also visibly confused and trying to get someone's attention, wait for 15 minutes to order despite sitting uncomfortably close to the waiter counter. After that wait we got our last dish, the Bacon Shaomai. How the quickest dimsum dish was the last thing to come out an hour after ordering it is beyond me, but it also wasn't very good.

Nobody bothered to ask how our meal was, maybe you should try somewhere that cares how it tastes as...

Sorry to say this, but the food was not good. The only reason I give this 2 and not one is because the ladies working the floor seemed nice.

I love soup dumplings and dumplings in general. Tried the crab/pork soup dumplings, wonton soup, and wontons in chili oil. There was peanut sauce on the wontons in chili oil, which I didn’t expect. Not a huge fan of peanuts but I figured I’d try, and it was mid tbh. I’d enjoy it better without the peanut sauce I think. The soup dumplings were…also ok. I didn’t really enjoy them but I guess I would try finishing them. I didn’t.

Then the soup—the soup is what I wanted most when I went because my stomach was hurting. The soup was the biggest disappointment of all. First off, it Took forever to get it—got the dumplings first which threw me off since most restaurants serve soup first. Anyway, had to ask about my soup since I wasn’t sure if they’d forgotten it. When I finally got it after about 5 more minutes, it was… bland! And the wontons flavor was not what I would call enjoyable. I immediately told them and asked to have it removed from the bill. Still decided to pay for the dumplings since I ate a few, but I didn’t finish anything because I truly did not enjoy the taste of any of these dishes. It’s more something I’d eat if it were free. And yet here I am, down 20 plus bucks for food I didn’t even wanna take home w me. Tbh I shoulda got the whole meal for free at that point. Just sayin. Smh and I was so excited for soup...
