Burger King — Restaurant in New York

We usually order from Burger King and their burgers are usually the best. Today we ordered four Double Whoopers for the family and they were absolutely disgusting. The bun was not toasted like it is promoted, it was moist and thin. The lettuce in the burgers was not fresh and had a foul fridge-smelling aftertaste. The beef patty that was supposed to be grilled and juicy had dry, 2-days-old-looking sides. The French fries didn't even get to our bag, they were simply forgotten, although were an important part of this highly-expected meal. The saddest part of all, is that we received a soda straw for a shake. Soda straws are thin. Shakes are of a high viscosity. Pretty self explanatory. Not as important as french fries, but also very disappointing. When trying to contact Burger King with the facility's number, I was redirected to the customer service that only gave options of using bonuses and plastic subscription cards, no representatives whatsoever. 9/23 Update (4 to 2 stars): My husband went recently and he said this location took 4 other people's orders after he ordered and served those 4 other people before he received our order. Also, the server never changed his gloves between cash register and sandwiches. The whopper also did not have tomato, which was an odd thing to forget. Sandwich still tasted good, however. And 2 for $7 deal was good.

This is an unconventional BK restaurant (in a gas station convenience store--with two standing tables). More suited for take-out, but the food is fresh and tasty. It does take a bit longer than usual (I think they cook each item upon ordering), but you can see everything as they make your order. Also, when you order you must go over to the gas pay desk, to pay, then keep your receipt, they'll will ask for it when they give you your food. I have not been to this burger king in person yet but I have ordered from this burger king location via food delivery apps multiple times over the last 6 months — this is literally the best burger king that I have ever had food from!

Every single time no matter how early in the afternoon or how late in the evening, their food is completely fresh and definitely made when you order it. I have read other reviews here with people with similar experiences in person so I have no doubt that I will experience the same in person service as I have been experiencing via delivery.
