Grumpy Cafe is hands down one of the best spots in Brooklyn to enjoy a perfectly crafted coffee. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a cozy, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay a while. The atmosphere is warm, the music is just right, and the whole place has that special neighborhood feel.

The baristas — Melisande, Brendan, and Mark — are absolute legends. Not only are they incredibly skilled at what they do, but they’re also some of the kindest, most genuine people you’ll meet. I’m super picky when it comes to mochas, and yet they always nail it. Every single time. It’s like they read my mind and deliver the perfect cup.

Cafe Grumpy’s is a coffee chain in NYC and the location in Park Slope, Brooklyn serves very good coffee. The space itself is quite small so I usually get it to go. There is a small assortment of pastries 🥐 if you’re feeling hungry. But the main attraction is the coffee and their unique drinks. I get the espresso ☕️ and it has a strong bite 💪🏼. Definitely gives you a kick but be warned, it is strong. You can really taste the beans and it packs a punch. I got a surprisingly good flat white. They were friendly enough, and made my drink in my travel mug. It's a very small and bare space. The no laptop policy is sort of annoying--there was literally no one else there and I wanted a place to sit and read on a screen and I couldn't. I'd pretty much just consider this place a takeout spot, but for that the coffee is good. The prices seemed unfortunately normal, even a bit less than at least Ken other place I've been within a few blocks, although I got a seasonal coffee drink there, so that might have accounted for at least part of the price difference.
