If you're looking for a quiet spot to go to when you need to be productive and get stuff done, look no further than Park Slope Desk. Located just blocks away from Prospect Park, this great nook offers the peace and quiet anyone may need in a co-working space. It has a very welcoming feel and offers the surroundings for any taste, be it a dim cubby hole nook or a sprawling desk where one can bask in the sunlight of it's bright airy front room. Whether you need to study, work on a project, or just need a quiet sanctuary to escape and focus, this is the place to go.
Park Slope Desk is a nice alternative to cafes, which can often be a tad loud, distracting & crowded. There are even separate rooms with small phone booths for when you may need to take a private call, as well as a conference room. (Also a plus that most cafe's do not offer.) It's even a nice sanctuary to escape to from one's own living room, as working from home can often lead to feeling stir crazy and distracted by an array of factors. Sometimes a change of environment can really help in increasing productivity.
I highly recommend this awesome and serene little haven and would encourage anyone looking for a study-spot or a co-working space to definitely...
Read moreI was preparing for my CFA exam and spent weeks trying to look for a good study place. Ever since I found park slope desk, I couldn't stop going whenever I was trying to get things done wether study or work.
It is set up nicely, where you could be really efficient and focus with no distractions. There is a new room now with more desks with more sunlight which is amazing. Everything I need is there: printer, small notes, desk lamp, monitors etc. A kitchen with hot/cold water, different kinds of coffee and tea. even a fridge where I could keep my sandwiches/prepped meals! I rented a locker to keep my books and an extra charger. I would go every day after work not carrying anything but my laptop.
It is very quiet and all members strictly respect the rules. No food or drink or calls at their desk. Everyone is there to focus which is great.
I think the membership is great value to services offered and the hours are pretty amazing too.
The day before my exam, my charger stopped working and I started panicking. I emailed Cosmo, the owner, and he comes back with two cables in less than 15 minutes. I will always be very grateful for this...
Read morePark Slope Desk is the work space I’ve been searching for. As a writer with a day job I needed a space that I could use after-hours and on weekends, and was quiet. Other shared work spaces I looked at were not specifically quiet-only spaces. They usually had music and/or the hum of conversations in the background. That was not going to work for me. Quiet is what I needed and that’s what you get at Park Slope Desk plus a whole lot more.
The owner Cosmo Lee, has created a lovely looking space geared toward people who want to get work done. Whether you like working in a cubicle, out on an open desk, near a window or in a corner – Park Slope Desk offers that variety. And all the chairs, which tilt, swivel and roll, are comfortable. So be ready to sit your butt down for hours of work! Keyboards and laptop stands are also available if you need more ergonomic options. These extras illustrate Lee’s attention to what a serious worker needs! Plus he’s friendly, helpful and very accommodating when he can be to special requests.
Overall, Park Slope Desk fills a special and much needed niche in the land of local co-working/ shared...
