Can I give this place zero stars? Don’t get me wrong, it’s spotlessly clean, the employees are super friendly and very polite. BUT, the ‘food’ is DISGUSTING. I don’t even know how they are allowed to sell this garbage as food. I have been here many times in the distant past and each time I foolishly decided to give them another chance. That was a long time ago. So last week, after avoiding them for over a year I foolishly stopped by again and this time ordered the Chicken bites. Even cardboard is softer and has more flavor. These hard as a rock supposedly chicken bites are tiny and have barely any chicken in them. It’s mostly a nasty hard batter. Don’t be fooled by the fancy photos in the store of juicy burgers and plump fries. This is just to lure you into the store. There are plenty of other fast food stores in the area that serve much better food. I have nothing against Checkers, but PLEASE stop serving this trash that you try to pass off for food. People come back for the food ONLY if it’s good. Yes, the community DOES need a nice fast food restaurant and we DO want you to succeed. So, either you fix this issue or people will keep writing these kind of reviews that call it as it is. The food you serve is REALLY that bad. EIGHT MONTHS AGO another Google guide Raquel M Gerardo wrote about your disgusting Chicken bites and you replied back to her but you have YET to fix the problem. This problem actually applies to your ENTIRE MENU. AVOID THIS PLACE...
Read moreI am a local and if there’s one word I could use to describe this Checkers is atrocious. I entered with a smile and left with a frown. The workers have no concern about customer satisfaction and absolutely put no effort into your order. Whenever I order ‘hot meals’ such as burgers or even a hotdog, I receive cold food. The cheese on my burger is so cold that it’s stays straight instead of laying on the bottom bun. The fast food restaurant itself is really unsanitary. It would be rare to not see napkins and opened ketchup packets on the floor. Some of the workers make me second guess purchasing my food. There was once an incident where I order a burger and handed the worker my money. They proceeded to make my food with the hand they grabbed the money with. Not only did this make my stomach turn, but it also aggravated me. I was so shocked that I could do nothing but throw the burger out and go to Dunkin Donuts which is next door. Unfortunately I do not remember the worker’s name. Not all the employees do a poor job. Some happen to enlighten my day by simply asking me how I’m doing. Others ask what I want to eat. I have no problem with Checkers, I would just like to see another positive and clean store in the neighborhood. I hope someone looks into this...
Read moreI went to this checkers location an hour ago to order fries and the cashier didn’t accept my $10 bill as she claimed it was fake and her co-worker thought so too. They gave no explanation of why it’s fake. I kept explaining to them why my bill is legit and they gave no response and still didn’t own up to their mistake. I went to the Dunkin donuts nearby that checkers to ask a worker there if the bill is legit and the Dunkin cashier said my bill is legit and it was obvious. After that I went to a nearby Popeyes to get my fries and handed the cashier the same $10 bill which she accepted. I also got this $10 bill from the ATM and ATMs does not give you fake bills. My frustration increased when they kept on not giving me an explanation how it’s fake and I kept on explaining to them in clear detail how this $10 bill is real. I never had a problem like this in my life and hope to never have one like this again. I asked them if they had a counterfeit money detecter as I would loved to test my bill out but they claimed to not have one. I honestly hope checkers gets a counterfeit money detector and these employees gets trained better when it comes to telling the difference between counterfeit...
