Hi everybody! I grew up in Astoria and I haven’t been there for so many years, I decided to get a pizza from this restaurant and it was so terrible I can’t even explain it. It was overcooked and dry and didn’t even taste like natural tomato sauce it was like ketchup. I visited my aunt and was hoping to have a nice lunch but it turned out to be so bad. I’m so disappointed and I will never order from there again. This restaurant some years back was pretty good I don’t know what happened now. Never again… shame on you gyro uno. I wouldn’t even give the restaurant one...
Read moreFirst , let me say the lady who took my order was very nice. Parking not so bad on a weekday. Meter parking. I called in my order and it was ready when I arrived. I ordered a Chicken Gyro (my mom said it was pretty dry and tasteless) I had the Chicken souvlaki ( I enjoyed mine, the tzatziki sauce was really good the chick was thick as for being seasoned it was ok) The terrible part was the price for those two sandwiches and a slice came to almost $25 The sandwiches are not that big and the pizza is OK! Would I return? Possibly, My mom on the other hand...
Read moreThis place has changed, the pizza taste different and crust soft, sauce terrible, has many new faces, and is overpriced. I did order a gyro not too long ago it was a better than before of course they feel the need to raised the price with gyro world, but gyro world is much better and more choices. I personally have stopped going to gyro uno. There so many options. Grand Ave pizza always great and Krave is also very good. On 37 and 28th Ave also good and great specials. Don't forget Rizzo's Bellucci's, Gaudio's, Those are all great pizza...
