Update - see the restaurant's reply below to get an idea firsthand about their disrespectful attitude towards their customers. And mentions of blatant lies that I would rather not engage in clarifying as my review covers it all.
Do yourself a service and DO NOT EAT HERE. I got a piece of what felt and looked like plastic, with pointed edges in my maggi. Unfortunately I didn't see it before putting it in my mouth so got hurt in my gums from those pointed edges. To top that, the staff was very aggressive, disrespectful and unapologetic. Because when I shared this with the staff, they didn't apologize and picked a fight with me that it isn't plastic. Which obviously I don't care, because whatever it is it isn't edible, definitely not maggi, be it plastic or not. They tried to break it down and after multiple attempts when it didn't break they tried to burn it with a lighter! It didn't burn either IMAGINE them expecting ppl to eat that inedible whatever it was. Had to do a LOT of back and forth to get our money back because I refuse to eat the rest of the food not knowing what else inedible might show up. All this with no apologies. My advice to this place which it seems is a few weeks old if they expect to sustain in NY (or anywhere)- if you make a mistake, be polite, apologize and improve so that such a thing doesn't...

Ordered vadapav and raj kachori... vada pav was good but i don't get why do you sell such a big vada for small pav? Raj kachori nothing much to say as it super soggy by the time i reached... i would actually not even recommend a customer to buy it if i was going to make them take their food off premises... I have worked for food industry for 15 years... own 2 restaurant myself... but if my staff is rude and has no smile on face for customer... i won't even...
Read moreChote Miya at Chelsea Market - a newly opened sister restaurant of the incredible Gupshup (there’s another older Chote Miya at Dumbo’s Time Out Market) - is the perfect Indian fast casual restaurant that Chelsea Market desperately needed. The food is a mix of Delhi and Bombay classics; and some hugely addictive innovations like a Kheema Maggi (which is essentially the Indian Maggi noodles in an amazing goat mince curry) that are creative and invoke nostalgia at the same time. The chicken korma is a wonderful break from the usual tomato based gravies in Indian restaurants; and is a great meal in itself - it is wonderfully spiced with just the right amount of oil in it. Literally everything on the menu is wonderful - a goat biryani that’s among the best in NY, paneer and chicken seekh kathi rolls that are perfect to-go meals (the paneer is incredibly soft and tender), and a rose kheer that is a fabulous counterpoint to all the spice that you may encounter in the meal. They also have routine specials like the Chicken 65, which is a South Indian inspired fried chicken. Go to Chote Miya the next time you find yourself around...
