Starbucks Reserve offers a premium coffee experience that goes beyond the standard Starbucks menu, featuring rare, small-batch coffee beans from around the world. It’s designed for true coffee enthusiasts who appreciate high-quality brews, innovative brewing methods, and a more upscale atmosphere.

Ambiance & Design

Starbucks Reserve locations are beautifully designed, often featuring modern industrial aesthetics with warm wooden tones and spacious layouts. The experience feels more like an artisanal coffee house than a standard Starbucks. The flagship Roasteries, like those in Seattle, New York, and Milan, take this even further, creating an immersive coffee culture with open-roasting spaces and interactive brewing stations.

Coffee & Menu

The highlight of Starbucks Reserve is its exclusive coffee selection. The beans are sourced from unique regions and roasted with a higher level of craftsmanship. You’ll find pour-over, siphon, and Chemex brewing options, as well as limited-edition espresso blends. The taste profiles are often more complex, ranging from fruity and floral to deep and chocolatey, depending on the origin of the beans.

There’s also an expanded food menu, often featuring elevated pastries and small plates that pair well with the coffee. Some locations even offer coffee-inspired cocktails and exclusive Reserve blends that aren’t available in regular stores.

Service & Experience

The baristas at Starbucks Reserve are highly trained and often engage customers in conversations about the coffee’s origins and brewing techniques. Service tends to be more personalized, making it a great place for coffee lovers who enjoy learning about their drink.

Price & Value

Expect to pay more than a regular Starbucks visit—Reserve drinks are pricier due to the premium beans and specialized brewing methods. However, for those who appreciate high-quality coffee and a refined atmosphere, it’s worth the experience.

Final Verdict

Starbucks Reserve is a fantastic destination for coffee lovers looking for a more curated and immersive experience. Whether you’re interested in trying new brewing techniques, savoring rare coffee beans, or just enjoying a more upscale café setting, it’s a great spot. While the higher prices might not make it an everyday stop, it’s definitely worth visiting for a special coffee experience.

Really I would give it 3.5… I order a speciality latte drink, TOFFEENUT BIANCO LATTE ,which is really good but I do have a sweet tooth. I also order an PORCHETTA & EGG ON CIABATTA, which was good. They make the Ciabatta in house and it is good. The problem was the service . When I placed the order I was given a little device that I was told would blink when my order was ready. Keep in mind this is a big place and it is packed , a bit noises and one should expect that seeing how many people and just the over all vibe. After a while , I heard my name but the blinking device was not going off so I did not think it was me, as being busy there was a good possibility of some one else with the same name. After the 5th time of hearing my name I decided to get up and walk over to the counter where they were calling the names. I said my name is peter but this blinky thing is not going off Instead of saying anything “he pushed sandwich and drink at me” while saying thank you have a great day. So I put the thing in the counter so he could see it and showed him it was not blinking as I could see he was agitated but I wanted him to know I was just following the instructions and instead of acknowledging it he grabbed the thing and yelled “thank you have a great day” while tossing the thing into a bucket with the rest of the devices customers clearly brought back. It was highly Condescending.

Where the actual corn did they learn customer service?

He should have not thrown that device back with the rest as it clearly was broken, out of battery or something going wrong.

And he should have politely acknowledged that I was in fact trying to follow thier rules. Instead of being a “Condescending” jack wagon.

I sat inside a while and just watched the service . I did see him smiling & joking with other customers, I even saw him bring out a tray with coffee and food on it to an Asian couple next to me and joke with the lady.

Here was what I finally figured out or at least the appearance was. If you were a white male (any age group) you got a “here is your __” with zero facial expression If you were women of any color it was all flirty time. If you were a male of any race outside of white you got the smile and blah blah blah..

IMO the employee was a bit racists if he knows it or not..

Just for reference I am a mutt .. but definitely present...
