I spent this morning in Claire’s Kitchen Cafe. Lovely, small, cute place! Like I’ve mentioned before, Google Maps gives me three options: Food, Atmosphere and Service. I will start with my highlights. I had a good time sitting and getting to journal before starting work here. The atmosphere was small and there were only four seats inside this place. There were outside seats too with tables. Today was raining so I instead stayed indoors. If you’re looking for a place to come with a group a friends this is not the place as it’s more of a local business with limited seating. That being said the service in this place was fine. I was serviced quickly and my order of a cappuccino was done with care. What I will say is this: I did not enjoy my cappuccino. I am not sure yet whether that is the coffee beans themselves or how fine the beans were with the expresso machine (aka weighed and grinded). But unfortunately, the coffee felt bitter to me. I’d almost say as if the beans were past there freshness or expiring date. I did not finish the cappuccino and ended up throwing it away. Overall, my service was a 4/5 as my barista did do some latte art :). The coffee itself was what they say “mid.” And the atmosphere was a highlight for me. Would I buy coffee from here again? No. But the atmosphere is lovely and I did not try any food so I could not comment on that itself.

Not sure how this place has the reviews it does. I’ve walked by here probably 1000 times and finally decided to try it for lunch today. I got the sabih salad with chicken and couldn’t be more disappointed. First it’s supposed to be on mixed greens but is on romaine… not that big of a deal. However it’s supposed to contain roasted potatoes and they are nowhere to be found and when I called the restaurant it’s because they are out but they didn’t offer to substitute it with another carb or anything, they just left it out. Additionally the real kicker is that the salad just wasn’t good… like a salad I would make at home but much worse and much more expensive. Maybe their sandwiches are better? While I like supporting small businesses I will definitely not be returning and taking the risk of wasting more money on their food

I recently moved to a new neighborhood and decided to explore the local coffee shops for my morning breakfast routine. Right next to my building, I discovered Claire’s Kitchen Cafe. The place has a charming ambiance, albeit small with limited seating - one table and two sets on the window bar inside, and three tables outside. I opted for Claire’s BEC for breakfast, and it was a delightful choice - delicious and satisfying. However, my experience with the cappuccino was not as impressive. The overcooked milk resulted in a cappuccino that lacked the creamy texture and flavor profile that I was expecting. Despite the mixed coffee experience, the service at Claire’s Kitchen Cafe was friendly and pleasant. While I may not return specifically for the coffee, I would consider revisiting for the food.

I had the pleasure of dining at this establishment, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment I walked in, the staff and the owner made me feel incredibly welcome, and their warm hospitality truly gave me a renewed sense of hope for humanity.

The food itself was exceptional. Every dish I tried was expertly prepared, bursting with flavors, and served with an attention to detail that's hard to find elsewhere. It's evident that the chefs take great pride in their craft, and it certainly shows in the quality of the dishes.

But what truly sets this place apart is the people. The staff and the owner went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was not just about great food but also about feeling like a valued guest. Their genuine kindness and hospitality made the evening truly memorable.

In a world where fast-paced and impersonal service can often prevail, this establishment is a shining example of how a genuine human touch can elevate a dining experience. I left with a full belly, a happy heart, and a renewed sense of hope for the kindness that still exists in our world.

I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking not just a fantastic meal but also a reminder that there are wonderful, caring people out there who make dining out an absolute pleasure.

The owner graciously saved me from getting hit my a car when I was biking away from the establishment. The owner waved me off and said “good luck with your future endeavors” I smiled and waved. I will be definitely going back to this...

Since I planned to be in the area for a few hours, I looked online for a decent place to have lunch nearby. I wanted healthy & tasty food and found that based on positive reviews, I decided to give Claire's Kitchen a try.

Well let me tell you, the atmosphere was cute & had a chill & boho vibe. It's small with limited seating. The time of day was around lunchtime so the majority of customers had their orders to go. A couple of them ordered their favorites which was a sign that Claire's Kitchen has repeat customers.

I had the beef empanadas with a side salad and a chocolate chip scone for dessert. The empanadas were not deep fried so their crust was nice & soft; something that I wasn't used to in an empanada. The beef filling was seasoned nicely- the spices gave it a nice kick to it.

The green salad was very fresh and organic. It included mixed greens, cherry tomatoes and red onion .

Last but not least I must say the chocolate chip scone was divine! It did not need butter. I ate it as if it was like a big ole chocolate chip cookie-the whole thing in one sitting! In the past I found the texture scones to be dry and boring. Not this one! It was really good and fun to eat. I would definitely buy this again. This was a great substitute for the gluten-free chocolate cake that she ran out of :/

So when you are in the mood for tasty and healthy food and you happen to be in the neighborhood ,stop by Claire's Kitchen and treat yourself to a meal...
