Bombay Chowk is a culinary delight for those who crave authentic Indian flavors. With an extensive menu that has something for everyone, this restaurant truly brings the rich taste of Bombay to your plate. The Goan Special menu was particularly impressive with dishes like Shrimp Moll and Caldine, boasting unique flavors. Vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike will find something tantalizing with offerings such as the Vegetarian Lunch Special and Club Non-Veg Thali.
I was immensely pleased with the Makhmali Kebab, Sirloin Kebabs, and goat biryani, which were a festival of flavors and cooked to perfection. The South Indian offerings like Masala Dosa and Uttapam added to the variety and showcased the restaurant's commitment to authentic regional recipes.
The Royal Charcoal Grill Specialties section was another highlight, with dishes like Chicken Cafreal and Lobster Shanee Nisha Rasila taking the taste buds on an extraordinary journey. The chef's ability to balance spices and textures was evident in every bite.
Bombay Chowk also offers Prix Fixe Specials for both North and South Indian tastes, complete with a well-paired assortment of sides. The desserts were not mentioned, but I expect them to be as delightful as the rest of the menu.
If you're in search of a restaurant that offers great value, a broad menu, and delicious, authentic Indian cuisine, Bombay Chowk should be on your list. Whether you're a fan of traditional Indian recipes or looking to explore new flavors, this place will...
Read moreI was lured in by the promise of a thali experience, and my indecisive self couldn't resist, and let me tell you, it lived up to the hype. No regrets, just pure culinary delight. (For those unfamiliar, Thali is a glorious spread of various dishes, complete with roti and dessert.) As a vegetarian, I opted for the veg thali, and it exceeded expectations. The flavors were robust and enjoyable, with a nice mix of textures and well-balanced spicing. Among the dishes, the standout was the saag paneer – it was creamy, rich, and packed with flavor. The roti and naan were soft and warm. My partner went for the butter chicken and was impressed. And can we talk about the Kheer? A truly delicious and fitting ending, don't skip.
There was a minor hiccup involving our side order of garlic naan. A case of mistaken identity led to its transformation into a goat cheese variant that invoked an immediate "gag" reflex due to its barnyard essence. They were very apologetic and quickly rectified the situation, however, if you're strict about what you eat, it's worth keeping an eye out.
The owner is a delightful friendly soul, and the place is warm and vibrant. Prices are on the higher side but the portion sizes are decent, service is friendly albeit a bit slow. If you're looking for a flavorful meal in a cozy environment, this place is definitely...
Read moreThis is the worst South Indian food ever. When I told about that to server, their defense is yes we are known for our North Indian food. Earlier we have faced bad reviews for honesty. Firstly, my honest suggestion is if your south Indian is so bad, you should remove it from the menu. No one asked you to have everything on the menu. Secondly, I am not sure about others but I would want an honest response from the servers about the food. Thirdly, please don't give that bad, partly uncooked food to anyone. Even if you use ready to eat batter for it, it would be at least edible.
Topping it off with bad owner behavior which I would have ignored if this didn't happen. I asked for size of a paratha and he behaved so rudely that have you never seen a paratha. I have seen a lot of parathas but may be you haven't because if you had, you would know that paratha comes in a lot of different sizes and it can vary from place to place and/or chef to chef. Also to educate you on paratha, there are tawa paratha n tandoori paratha. When someone asks for a paratha you should clarify which one you have unless you serve...
